[2024 TRC] Argentina v South Africa - 21/9/2024

I don't like him very much. I think we need another fly half for the next test matches.
he didn't have a good game, true
he needs to get out of benetton and into one of the relevant teams, he's not used to playing important games and it shows

Man that 'penalty' to the Springboks which should have handed them the game was peak clown world stuff. Glad justice prevailed.

I think Libbok is done. Pollard gets better under pressure, Libbok gets worse.

You can't rely on Libbok to perform in pressure situations, the Rugby World Cup Knock-Outs are the ultimate pressure situation.

Pollard's defense is a liability. I said a few weeks ago, it's Sacha for the next four years.

Great game - think this highlights a couple of things (I'm repeating myself)
1. This whole New Zealand vs South Africa (let's play eachother a million times is ridiculous)
2. South America has the potential to be a hot bed of rugby, Scotland forged the way playing Uruguay and Chile in the summer - long may this continue
3. It would be good to see an Argentinian team back in super rugby

Congratulations to Argentina. For the first time ever, they have won a match against each of their Rugby Championship opponents in the same tournament.
If I understand it correctly, there's a mathematical chance that Argentina could win the Championship. It's extremely unlikely, but who would have predicted that at the beginning of the tournament?

What they need to do is win against us, get a bonus point and prevent us from getting a bonus point. The deciding factors are 1) number of wins 2) head to head wins and then 3) points difference. So if they win by 8 points and have 3 tries more than us, then they win the TRC.

Brilliant win for Argentina, they played some scintillating rugby. Their second try especially was a magnificent set play. Looked like the kind of dynamic attack moves Eddie Jones was trying to implement with England before they sacked him.
