[2017 RBS Six Nations] Round 2: Wales vs England (11/02/2017)

We also had another 'woman' who only posted in a thread about forward passes and refused to listen to anyone explaining it.

Why do you think RR is a woman?

On the JD2 kick, it looked pretty awful - a mistake or coaches' instructions? - but there is merit in the argument that a touchfinder could have easily resulted in a driving maul and eventually a try anyway. There was something inevitable about it.

Wales had defended pretty well so I don't think there was anything inevitable at all. What they needed was time to regroup either by the kick going longer or, better still, into row Z. You can't blame the management for one of their players hoofing the ball straight to the opponent's main play maker in acres of space. It was 100% player cock up, an individual mistake, just as Lawes getting robbed by Williams was in 2012.

The woeful Italians apart, I'm enjoying this year's championship more than any in recent times. The other 5 are all competitive and playing some good rugby.

Sonia's greatest catastrophe was a few years ago when she was interviewing Ibeniz after France lost a grand slam decider to Ireland.

from memory, poor Raffa was skinned by some Irish whippet for the deciding try. Sonia's question to a very upset and dishevelled French hooker was..."how does it feel being the player that missed the tackle that cost France the Grand Slam" Now I have seen rage in someone's eyes before but I honestly thought lasers were going to shoot out and burn a hole in Sonia's head.

Thanks Rats. Just trying to make a point really about what I saw from Hughes. While I think he was better than suggested by some, examples like this show him trying to run over defenders rather than beat them. For me, this was his biggest problem. Am I being harsh?

Potentially - arguably I think he's done the right thing there though... if he runs to Biggar's outside, he gives Dan the perfect angle to perform a classic lassoo tackle, giving Tipuric more time to get over him before the tackle is complete.
Would definitely have been nice to see some footwork though.

I think he's trying to adjust to both his new lower bodyweight, and the increased physicality of international rugby.

Maybe you're right. Seems a bit too direct though, I would have preferred a wider angle to be closer to support.

Was it Sonja or Jill who asked Jonson how he could possibly keep his job after that performance? They were both also utterly obnoxious when we hosted the Olympics, and had their interviews broadcast too half the globe.

And how do we spell Sonja's name - I've seen it as Sonya, Sonja and Sonia before.
Not that I respect her enough to really care, but hey.

Sure it was Sonia. She deffo asked him something that caused his brow to crease like a fault line.

THIS is what we need more of.

EDIT: Thanks Tyler!
Love how he see's AWJ and drags him down with him
"**** it, you're getting involved too"

Did we get a penalty from that, because Tipuric didn't release before going for the ball
