2016 Olympic Games, Rio

Great try.

I want both Fiji and USA to medal, so I'm supporting USA in this.

Do USA go through with a draw?

Edit: They need to lose by not more than 4 in order to go through.

Fantastic try.

That also sums up why Baker is in there above Iles - he's actually a really good player... not just fast.

USA USA USA USA USA USA
sorry
It's behaviour like that that stops me supporting you here.
I don't mind watching the clays, targets bore me though. By the same token, I find archery pretty dull.

I'd agree with that; though it still doesn't make it a sport. Archery better than guns as they more to take into account, and have the physical strength to pull a 50lb draw, rather than a trigger.

great job by baker to force him towards the corner, great conversion though, come on boys let's get some points

I'm not sure that strength is a significant factor - if it was, I'd expect to see larger, more muscular competitors prosper. I take your point though, there is more of a dynamic element in archery. The IOC have a very broad definition of that constitutes a sport, don't they define chess as a "mind sport"?

Muscle fatigue actually it's the same with shooting once you've lifted the gun. The longer you draw for the harder it is to keep you aim still. When your a complete amateur like me who's done rifle shooting a few times in my life you notice very quickly how quickly your aim goes off. The best thing to do is to low the gun breathe a bit and go again.

And that constitutes my entire knowledge on shooting and archery.

Does that apply to elite competitors though? Thanks to having a rubbish stance and a rubbish body, after a few legs, physical fatigue affects my darts after surprisingly few legs. Back when I used to play more regularly, this was much less of a factor. I don't imagine it affects professional players at all.
