Adidas really do make nice gear.

I don't understand why teams have struggled to create space out wide this tournament.... the pitch doesn't look particularly narrow.

Another more general point about reffing/rules - I've never understood why the ball has to leave your hands when taking a free kick, surely it's sufficient to just touch the ball with your foot like in RL?

i found it interesting that both south africa and australia went with their nation's apparel supplier instead of asics, and south africa's green stripes were screen printed and not along any seems

If I've got my maths right:

If NZ win it comes down to points difference, if NZ win by 1 or 2, then GB and Japan go through
If NZ win by 3 or more, then NZ and Japan go though

Any win for NZ puts them through, even as lucky losers. Hopefully we won't let that happen.
