[2015 Six Nations] England vs France (Round 5)

The thing is, the kiwi posters have a point, we won't win playing this kind of game against Aus or NZ, so we will have to go back to playing tight against Aus at least. I'm not sure about SA or NZ, SA will probably stop us playing like that by booting the leather off the ball, and we won't beat them in a tight game, whilst we will probably lose regardless against NZ.

...and why would you want to when you know that you will scrum them off the park (think Ireland v Australia 2011 RWC). You know your own strengths and their weaknesses; why one earth you you want to play to their strengths?

I always thought that Scottish people could speak English, but hibbyhanky has proven me wrong.

I don't think there is anything wrong with playing a tighter game, as long as it's not our only weapon, we need balance and that's been sorley lacking of late.

I think the best chance of winning the world cup is to win it by playing English rugby not SH style rugby.

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting we should - it's always fun beating the aussies by beating them up.

Corbs, Launc & Morgan back into this team....Tulangi at 12....yeah I'd be happy with that come RWC

Yeah, but like I said, it just doesn't seem to work against SA, so if we play them we need a new plan.

The way to beat the all blacks is make them lose control of the game as I played there for ten years I see a lot of ab games when Ireland nearly beat them down there it was because it was open like a game of gaa

Hmm, whats the scots for troll?

Is that where you learnt not to speak in sentences?

It's possible to do both, but it's not easy, and I don't think this England team can do it if NZ can't.

It might be good enough to beat SA though, who knows.

certainly not with the current defensive system.... it's tiring and needs powerful players. if they swapped to a "drift & man on (In red zone)" as their primary pattern there'd be more room for the smaller skillful players..

Kind of.

If we win our group we wont have to play NZ or SA before the final, so to make that we just have to be good enough to beat Wales and Ireland...

Oh, and Scotland, sorry.

If England try to defend to much last 20 20 points for abs last time England beat the abs it was open attacking rugby England took the ****

Yep but that's as far as you go maybe the best of the north

Ow, your illiteracy is giving me a headache, I will just stop trying to read your posts.

just trying to read this gibberish is giving me a headache.
Also RE Scotland nearly beating the ab's, I seem to remember TJ Perenara having a shocker, Carter playing his second game in as many years, a new centre combo (Fekitao+Crotty?) and I think Slade was on the wing (Ive not even started on the pack).....

Back to the game- England can't seem to string together a complete performance of ball in hand attack, good defence and good kicking game, it seems to be one or the other. Burrell really is just such a crowbar, no kicking game, poor passing game, little vision, little pace and barely does the bosh well either. I wish 36 had been on sooner.
I kinda wish Cips had been a fullback, that's a pretty fun backline to watch with Ford AND Cips pulling the strings on either side of the field!
