[2015 RWC] Final: New Zealand vs. Australia (31/10/2015)

Anyone going to the match today? Paid a small fortune for my ticket, but sitting near the try line in the South West side of the stadium. Hopefully see some tries in that corner and it's a great match.:)

Lucky dog!
Mates going as well.In the area you are.Got the ticket in some lottery.I understand the tickets are costing around £1300 in that location.

Enjoy mate!! Im jealous!! I only had to pay $5 for my ticket!! But sadly that is just to get into my local pub for the match!!

.........and Kiwi is back!

Sure am, glad everyone missed me so much :)

I saw Cheika slipped some notes to the press. Nothing too insightful there and obvious tactics, I'm sure Hansen wouldn't be losing any sleep over them. Read now knows he's a target, it's going to be interesting to see how he performs in the first half, it might spell the early entrance of a 1 Victor Vito if Read isn't playing well. Is it just me or is NMS not bad under the high ball? Not sure why that is a tactics.

Savea has made marked improvements in this area as well.. Also I can imagine Ben Smith helping/covering them a lot, I don't think this tactic will work much in Aussies favour and just gift us the ball back in broken play, which we are extremely dangerous, so by all means, please kick us the ball back!!

I have a feeling we're going to play a strong kicking game and keep them camped in their own half and attempting to win their line-out ball, which we are pretty much the David Pococks of line outs with Sam Whitelock and Retallick!

Yep that Retallick and Whitelock combo aswell as the halfs and fullback are the obvious positions where NZ should be totally dominant.

We should totally base the majority of this game around possession and field position dominance I just dont see how this Aussie team can compete with us in a line out situation. Their lineout forwards are friggin nobodys their best lineout option is probably fardy and they'd be better off using hooper and Pocock as halfbacks!

Heres some pretty sobering reading for aussie supporters: http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/...l-Blacks-are-Rugby-World-Cup-final-favourites

Why post that article ? You should have posted something from the NZ herald so you could get some proper unbiased reporting ......

How can statistics be bias?
Yeah but some of it is nonsense

10 more tries, 51 more points, didn't have as many difficult games (just look at the difference in groups).

Anyway the bias is in stats they choose not to look at e.g. penalties conceded, handling errors.

Stats go out the window today. It's simply who wants it more. Head is saying NZ marginally. Heart says Aus by 3. Looks like it'll be great weather and if we get half of what these are capable it'll be magic

Yes, but overall the All Blacks have the best stats in the world. How else would they be number 1 by such a considerable distance? Stats don't lie brah

Putting my last €10 on this match. Heres what Im betting.

Australia to win by 1-5 pts, 6/1, €5
Following players to get the first try:
Julian Savea 8.5/1, €1
Nehe Milner Skudder, 9/1, €1
Ben Smith, 11/1, €1
Maa Nonu, 14/1, €1
Berdnard Foley, 25/1, €1

So best case scenario Foley scores the opening try and Oz win by 1-5 points, landing me €55... Worst scenario an Aussie outside of Foley gets a try and NZ win anyways (have a feeling this is going to happen :(), depriving me of my last ten quid. Id settle for Maa Nonu to score the opening try, affording me an extra pint...

Even if I lose everything I have a feeling this is going to be a match for the history books, I absolutely cant wait!

So do they start playing at 4 pm UK time, or is that just the time the hype starts?

All the best to our brothers across the ditch. Pumped

Waddya wanna be? A WALLABY!!!

All the worst to our unlikable brothers across the ditch, may you crash and burn and forever be branded the Wannabes!

All banter aside, good luck and let's hope for a good game which I know both sides can produce, I have faith in Owens that a contentious decision won't decide this one, all the best and enjoy an awesome game!
