We've just got to get the boys to visualize how they'll beat the ABs

I'm a Crusaders supporter and I can assure you that Matt Todd can't make the starting Pumas XV with young flankers like Pablo Matera, Javier Ortega Desio, Tomas Lezana and Facundo Isa with international experience. Isa played for Toulon and Matera has played for Leicester

You sure he wouldnt make the bench for Argentina? I didnt say he would start for every team, just that he would (at the least) likely make the matchday 23. Maybe Argentina's backup 7 is better than Todd but if you think about allof the tier one teams I reckon he would start or be on the bench on all of them.

Sio will play as will the rest of the A team.
Be prepared for the Wallaby onslaught, Milner Skudder will get owned under the high ball, the AB's back row will be running around trying to knock out Pocock and forget about Hooper. The AB's scrum will be back peddling and their number 8 will be inserted up the back passage of their locks. It will be a great day for the Aussie team when one S Moore holds aloft the WWE cup at the conclusion of the game.

Completely agree.

Concentrating on Pocock will play right into Chieka's plan. I hope the AB's do cause then it will definitely be an AUS win

43-21 semi-final by France in 1999 happened on the 31 of October at Twickenham.
Umm isn't this the same day the Cup final is been played? Ghosts of games past?
Also are the AB's now based at Pennyhill park, now nick named as "camp looser" by the press after England, South Africa and Argentina have now moved out.

Did Cheika pull a master stroke by not playing two open sides at Eden Park so the ABs couldn't get a gauge of what their up against should both teams meet in the finals? Or is the paranoia kicking in?

Did you see the front page if the telegraph today? And the whole Ritchity Grub thing.... Classic.

I must confess I missed that, as I do the front page of the Telegraph every single day because I do my best to avoid it :p.

Not from me. We're stacked with promising guys in both 7 and 10.

7: Same Cane, Matt Todd, Ardie Savea, Mitchell Karpick, Shane Christie
10. Aaron Cruden, Beuden Barrett, Lima Sopoaga, Otere Black, Marty Banks

You missed one on each list Nick, so I fixed it for you :) ... seriously though, I think the lose of so many experienced players will effect us in the short term, although we aren't as dependent on DC as we were a few years ago; no one is worried about that right now anyway, the focus is totally on winning the RWC

... Oh you are huh ... I was confused for a minute because of the Queensland Reds logo, and that you were constantly talking up the Waratahs during the Super Rugby season

On topic: I'm confident the All Blacks to win a tightly fought match, by not many points, as I have confidence in the players and coaching staff; I believe that they have the plan(s) to win, and the temperament, experience, and game nous to do it ... I don't care how the points come, just as long as we win.

The bench yes, but I'm talking after the WC, without Fernandez Lobbe and Leguizamonv

I'm a Crusaders supporter in NZ. I have a team for every rugby nation.

The Waratahs 2014 was something special. For the health of the competition (SR) a new champion was very good. Also I support Leinster in Ireland and Cheika did a great job there, so I had to support this man. Crusaders has won too many SR ***les and the most larger city in Oceania needed a champion. Roosters and Rabbitohs are more popular every day, we need a strong Waratahs for the health of the competition. Jesus Christ! Sydney is the most important city in Oceania and Super Rugby has a little participation there.

A healthy Super Rugby means more money for the NZ sides
I'm a Super Rugby supporter. Now with the incorporation of the Argentina's franchise I'm not sure if I will remain as Reds/Saders supporter. When I started to watch the competition, I didn't think that an Argie side could play the competition. Thanks Gus Pichot! :D

Why is it still only Tuesday!

Think Read is due a big game. He's had a pretty disappointing world cup so far.

Think Read is due a big game. He's had a pretty disappoint world cup so far.

He is one of the weak links in the AB's I am sure he will be targeted.

He is still pretty solid defensively. His running and aerial game seems to have regressed though. He used to be an absolute beast in getting our ball back from restarts!

Had a quiet year tbh

Says something when your weak link was World Rugby Player of the Year two years ago!!!

Yup but he has dropped of that form something chronic

More his hands for me, used to be so reliable catching the ball and now he is butter fingers all over the show, me and a couple of mates wonder whether the concussions he had are just not right.

I should think the Wallabies are still getting physio after they were bashed up by the Pumas on Sunday. They have played harder games than the AB's and they were looking pretty tired at the end of that game. One less day to prepare might work in their favour mentally but be problematic for them physically, especially in the last 20 minutes.
But come Saturday they will be ready and so will the AB's.
The desire within the Black camp is second to none, lets see if they can turn up the heat the way they did in Eden Park a couple of months ago when they slaughtered Aussie cranking up 40 points.
Both teams have to be ready, its the RWC Final and this is the one the AB's have been waiting for since they lifted the crown again in 2011.
Aussie want to come in from the cold, it's been a long time since the Wallabies have lifted the trophy.
This is the best final we could have hoped for because on form these are the two best teams in the world.

Yeah look, I said the other day that I'm actually not that concerned about Read although admittedly he is off form and arguably the only AB that is. That being said it is pretty much only ball handling issues that are troubling him. A player of that caliber can rectify that pretty fast. I would not be suprised at all if he pulls out a MoM performance against the Ozzies. Underestimate him at ur peril Australia :) !!

Probably the wrong thread to discuss such matters, but if I were you, I'd drop all of those other teams you support, and back the new Argentine one; you could still support a team in each country at the domestic level ... you could support say, the Tasman Makos in the ITM cup, pick a side in the Currie Cup, and the Australian domestic comp too. From an Australian perspective, it's probably more crucial that teams like the Melbourne rebels taste success to expand the popularity in non traditional areas/grow the game.

Getting back to this game, I'm hoping that it will be an open flowing game, but I doubt it will be, based on prior RWC finals

Just keep talking about Eden park that's the way.

Haha, 12 tests over the last four years, and 5 different parks we can talk about, and the one I imagine you are only remotely comfortable with might be Sydney and even then we own u in recent times, LOL!!

So if you dont wanna talk about Eden Park then perhaps I should remind you of:
Westpac - You havent won!
Forsythe Bar - You havent won!
Even Suncorp - You havent won!
and your beloved ANZ Stadium - we've won twice as many as you.

I agree we have two teams that will be pretty intent on scoring tries or scoring in any manner possible really. Both are pretty much injury free.

Id be pretty sure though the AB's will back their tactical kicking and lineout more than anything so I expect it will be similar to the bok game in some ways. Australia play totally different to the boks though so it will certainly pan out different.

Our lineout in the bok match really was quite incredible I never would of picked us to steal it off them when they got down to our 22 late in the second half there.

I certainly think we'd be nuts not to back it when its going like that and just see how the game pans out and change tactics from there.

We have so many good kicking options even Nehe put in a couple of decent chip throughs in the bok game.

Agree with all that!
