[2014 TRC] Australia v Argentina in Gold Coast (13/09/2014)

Are gloves illegal these days? On wet days like this it's surprising seeing no one wearing them.

White line fever cost the Wallies there but surely will not be long................and another crocks of s**t!!!

Wallabies getting so many wasted chances! But what the hell is wrong with Pumas set piece today...? That line out

We've blown two certain tries and both Foley and Toomua are playing pretty poorly, but other than that I've been surprised by the Wallabies forwards.

Yes you've produced a lot, giving Argentina not even one chance to attack. I'm surprised the score is only 14-7 now.

Argentina have been very disappointing so far. There defence in general had been pretty good, but they've conceded a lot of stupid penalties.

Where's the Argentinian team that nearly beat SA? This is so poor.

They have really done not a lot all series, other than play with huge heart and determination, and tonight find themselves 21 - 7 down against a pretty poor Wallabies team who have made so many mistakes to keep the Argies so close.

The final table of AB, SA, Aus and Arg was predictable at the start of the Championship and has certainly never looked like changing other than for a some minutes when Argentina showed how poor and off form the SA team they played in Argentina were only to gloriously fail!

To make it interesting and less predictable, perhaps, the other competitors should be able to pick the AB team before each game they play against them...................!!!

I did a quick calculation. Even if Aus beat Argentina by 100 000 000 they stay in 3rd. Just but still no changes in the raking positions this week; Aus 88.10, SA 88.23

Not sure what the media were on about; even is SA lost by more than 15 we'd still be ahead even if only by 0.04 ranking points, NZ are just so far ahead and Argentina so far behind.

Good idea to bring Beale on - Toomua has done nothing all night.

Kurtley Beale on. Will we see more accuracy from him? I hope not. A 4 try bonus point would see Aus climb into 2nd on the RC log.

@conrad I'm not saying Argentina should be better than Australia, but I was expecting a much better performance than this.

The Springboks are clearly the second best team in the competition. It was only due to a poor referee and one awful mistake last week that allowed Australia to win. This Argentina team is clearly capable of beating all three of the other teams, they just seem to raise their game to slightly below whoever they are playing. If they instead picked one or two games to play to a high standard in they would have one or two wins. They are so much worse tonight than they were last week.

God which dropkick missed that tackle on Phipps? There was no skill involved in that try, just abhorrent defence.
