You just had to go there didn't you  We produce alot more than a lot of big teams. When 2016 comes around and you have Kruis, Itoje, Farrell, George and Spencer all playing for England i'll remember this. From now on ETR we aren't friends, and to quote the lovely Bricktop.......
Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible ****... me

I believe Saracens have 8 former academy players on the books same as Bath, Leicester have 14 though ;) (Although we do have 48 players on the senior squad books).

Sorry to go even more off topic but this comment got me thinking. Due to a number of factors I'd have expected the Irish provinces to have more players locally produced but Leinster have 30 of the first team squad who got their first goes with us. Not too shabby. Not to rub it in anyone's face or anything as it is pretty understandable due to the different circumstances in each country.

I'm 65% certain from this post that you play 7.

I'll admit there's probably a touch of defensiveness to my response to this issue based on the fact that when a team is perceived as "buying success" supporters of other teams have to hate them a little bit. Nothing personal, it's just the rules. I did it to Sarries when you were the Big Bad Saffa Mercenaries, and at the back of my mind I'm aware that if I weren't a Bath supporter I'd slightly resent this farming of the mid-to-low-table Prem sides. Only I am, so it's just good business. But that's what supporting a team means. As long as no-one's a dick about it, it's all part of the fun, right?

I must disagree, sir. A good openside would never advertise his intentions like that.

Indeed, Richie McCaw never advertises his intentions to be offside...

haha these fijians should be on dancing with the stars with their soft like running. Cant wait to see Savea run through this fijian fruit cake, ill bring memories back of when Lomu was throwing them into the stands haha

vinaka brother:D

No it was the Aussie the Samoans that Lomu was throwing in the stands. You know him being Tongan and they hate Samoans. Lomu loved us Fijian in Hong Kong Serevi told him look bro we'll take it easy on you and make you look good. Just remember when you meet the Samoans eat them alive okay. Lomu was like yeah bro them fafafine's. :D

Yeah it's all a joke. On a serious note though, all the big teams have to steal from the little teams to get where they are now. I also realise that we brought success but now I feel we produce a lot of good youngsters and normally most of our starting pack is made by us or is at least English.

Weather forecast suggests it will be raining heavily. <_<

i don't think it will favour either side particularly. Both will be spanking it in the corner and firing the ball in the air...

Tighthead and goalkicker...the two specialisms which make you undroppable!

Very much so ... at least we can both be glad we're not Toulon, right? I can see Bath going a similar way now, we're starting to see the fruits of the investment in the academy

ah, damn it. Was looking forward to watching all those exciting English players play exciting Rugby !

Give us a bit of credit, we were the second highest try scorers last 6N.

Scoring almost 3 tries a game isn't bad though. Then again shows you how poor the French attack is, we scored 5 more than them and we are just sooooo boring :dance3:

;)

The 6N ? That thing that included supreme attacking forces like France, Italy, Scotland and Wales ?? :D

So scoring plenty of tries doesn't make you exciting? (also you claim France and Wales can't attack...?) Ok how about the fact that the most clean breaks was by an English player, most meters run was English again, defenders beaten was English. You do seem to be playing to the English stereotype of playing boring rugby yet can you name any recent games by England which you genuinely found not interesting?

England were fine in New Zealand in Test 2 for instance, but at the 6N they scored just 1 try over Ireland at home and 2 in France, the two major games for their tournament. Scoring all those tries in Italy, seeing how the latter spiraled into complete darkness gradually all year long after a good match in Cardiff to hit it off and three losses against Tier 2 nations in the summer...that game really didn't mean much.
And anyways, I'm not talking about that; England's efficiency scoring tries; I'm talking about this present group's excitement. Not ecstatic over seeing what they can do.

nah, no stereotype, stop it with that. You'll have to accept someone may have an opinion that England aren't exciting AND actually knows his facts, has seen the games...Mike Brown I've never criticized, although yes his form in NZ was very mediocre and he couldn't confirm the elite player status we thought he would.

France you know the situation. We've been by far the most sterile attack in potential/results ratio. Just terrible, terrible.
Wales: they had issues scoring against Italy, France were *miserable* and they only got a lucky North try and another one. They were aaaawful offensively in Twickers and got smashed in Ireland (not a single try in either). They were terrible again in Test 1 but good in Test 2 in SA...
