SBW always should've passed left on that play. 7 points missed there.

It's a league term that has seemed to carry through to union, but it doesn't actually exist in the rules. In league, if the tackle is complete you are not allowed to place the ball. In union, you are allowed to reach forward for the tryline, as long as it is done immediately after hitting the floor.

I mean you're spot on right in this case in terms of being allowed to place the ball....but if placing the ball is only done after further movement on the ground, it will be penalised and therefore is ruled exactly as a double movement is - even if those words are not used in the union rulebook

"Isreal dagg normally nails his man" - now I know you're talking ********.

I'm watching with Spanish commentary. I can't understand a word, but I do know that that drop goal attempt was by far the most exciting thing that has happened in the match thus far....

Drop goal was the right decision as we'd run out of steam and ideas, but how do you run out of steam and ideas there? Mmph.

hmm.... maybe you didn't find our try too exciting but most of us did, I can tell you!

Couple of penalties against Wood now...

holy****! Cruden got a penalty kick!? Any replays? I don't believe it!

I would be surprised if you found it is as exciting as the Spanish commentators. All I heard was a high pitch scream of "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL" for about 1 minute.....

Jeeze, how did Brown manage to snag that from SBW?!
That was an easy run in, but somehow Brown dives up between his legs and knocks it down

To be fair to new Zealand I don't think that really was an original penalty - Robshaw got into a good position over the ball but I think he was leaning on the ruck a bit...

Looked like he played at the ball off his feet tbh.

The English are too big, much like RSA, they run out of steam way too fast.

Going by the ESPN stats, May's made more metres than the rest of our team put together

What word?

Who's too big?
With the exception of Binny and Wilson none of our players are particularly big for their position.

England the better side in the 1st half - they deserve their (narrow) lead at the break. A few too many errors by the AB's in the 1st half, though most have been forced by aggressive England defense. I would like to see us attacking a bit closer to the breakdown, but we seem obsessed with our "two pass" attacking strategy at the moment.

Both teams playing competitive Rugby. England intense, NZ accurate. Both clinical. England still with the upperhand though probably, not just on the scoreboard. I'd imagine NZ will start concluding these opportunities and adding 5-pointers as this decants.
