2014 6 Nations: Scotland vs France (Round 4)

You missed the NOT out as in ....."hard not to see"

Ha I don't know like I think PSA realizes he needs those guys leadership as well as skills. Also is Nyanga gone

@Big Ewis. Who'd you want as replacement for PSA. Would France ever go for a non French personality

The obvious manager is under contract to Montypellier until 2017 and with canal + so not sure that the French Federation will see their way to making any change until after the RWC when they may, may be forced to buy Galthie's contract......as for a foreigner, unlikely as would be a huge ego blow!

Thing is if it's left go until after RWC and things are still messy it could badly hurt French federation financially and as a team

job done. Thats what i said before, a France B side can win in scotland.

a foreigner coaching our national side?! ah ah ah hilarious
well if he has a death wish, he is welcome..

Possibly but do not envisage any French matches in Paris not being sold out any time soon and, in any case, to sack PSA now would be difficult to recover from by next RWC and would mean that they would have to admit that they have been wrong for the last three years. I do not remember hearing a Frenchman, especially one based in Paris, ever admitting such a thing!!

all there from Tony, munstermuffin. There are others too, but it's unlikely...Noves (Toulouse) will never do it. Laporte (Toulon) won't want to go back there, not in the state it's in now. Then there could be others...

And yeah I think the FFR is a bit too chauvinistic and in France in general, we don't like anything foreigner or anything that has to do with *reforming*. Nations like Scotland, Ireland, Wales - will have the simple pragmatism to say "listen, these NZ'ers do it a lot better, wtf, let's get em". We lack that in France: adapting, reforming, rejuvenating renewing...

yes but that France B side could have and SHOULD HAVE played about 3x better than it did.
Just for my amusement's sake, I'm going to lay out our best possible team VS the team from tonight:

1 Mas
2 Szar
3 Domingo
4 Vahaamahina
5 Papé
6 Le Roux
7 Dusautoir
8 Picamoles
9 Parra
10 FTD
11 Guitoune
12 Fofana
13 Fritz
14 Huget
15 Dulin

Murrayfield France:
1 Mas
2 Mach
3 Domingo
4 Maestri
5 Papé
6 Vahaamahina
7 Lapandry
8 Chouly
9 Machenaud
10 Plisson
11 Médard
12 Mermoz
13 Basta
14 Huget
15 Dulin

And no I'm not insinuating anything. We have no chemistry or game plan, great players ain't gonna change that too much.

Then what about PSA forced to change his back room team or something

He needs to go.......but at very, very, very least....Lagisquet (backs coach) needs to hit the road, Jack.
Bru's (forwards) credibility is dubious some times, but he's more competent than Lagisquet looking at the results on the field.

yes admitting they are wrong has n-eve-r been part of FFR culture. Thats why they are so dysfunctional as an institution and have antagonised the top clubs. PSA will stay until RWC. He will not be sacked. PSA will be there to speak to the press, he is good at that. The french team will coach itself all the way to the next RWC and next time we will win it, by one point.

its nothing to do with chauvinism. More to do with the fact that no foreigner is up to the job. If anyone out there think they can do it, they need a brain transplant before or speak with a shrink.

I would also add that Bru is too early in his career as a coach to be a national one and that Lagisquet is equally as responsible for the position that Biarritz find themselves in as Blanco who's ear Lagisquet seems to have whether he occupies an official position there or not! So neither of them should be there and Masi is not a proven guy either..............will he change.....he is French, Munstermuffin, he is French!!!

hah.
The one mystery that dwells for me is November 2012. Had this never happened, I'd say PSA is the most incompetent viscous matter that ever happened in the existence of sports coaching....but then there's that EOYT:
33-6 on Australia
39 pts on ARG
and containing a starving Samoan team, best we'd ever seen them coming off a monster win in Canada and a big one in Millennium.

And those wins aren't flukes if you watch them closely. Everything looked fresh, organized, pretty.

We seriously look more and more putrid. We do. At least in 2013 we had a monster scrum that beat the crap out of everyone, though we were losing. We lost even that now. It's like everything is decaying. All that downfall since Michalak forgot what Rugby was randomly to start 2013....

Doesn't matter. Without a game plan scotland still can't beat us. Its an AWFUL selection. A France B side. The tourists won.

Oh please. Give us a BREAK will ya! Do you want a kleenex? they will coach themselves all the way to the RWC. They're big boys. PSA will do the press reports.

Just like 2011.....but Imanol and Yach are too old and useless now so who is going to take their place as the senior members to manage the squad.....Picamoles and Pape?

thats right. And just like 1999 before etc etc

i think its called a cycle...

PS ehm Imanol and Yachvili are long gone now..they're retiring in ProD2 next season

OOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO ANNOYING!

but lets be honest scotland deserved the win

yeah Tony knows that. He's asking WHO WILL TAKE THEIR PLACE as the "leaders" of the group. It's true, we lack guys who can take care of themselves. We have a bunch of soldiers, very few leaders...we don't have a single rugged forward these days: the closest to that is Mas and he's introverted, Szar looks like Flash Gordon too much, and Papé is more of a brute than a leader of men.
