2014 6 Nations: Scotland vs France (Round 4)

Scotland is winning! Yeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

:bravo::cheers::gat::roflrol::bananarock::banswor::carrot::rock:

Do not think that France are getting the rub of the green from this NZ ref......they have been pinged at line outs when Scotland, for doing the same, have not and that was a clear penalty on the first scrum if only because the 6/7 are breaking early......he is not making a significant difference but worth saying!!

In fairness majority of errors are French hurting themselves.

Amazing to think England lost to France looking at all their games since...

ummmmm?

Now how did France win that one.....if only to truly **** off Argentinian Fans on here!!!

Why the hell did Hogg touch that down in his 22?
He should've ran it back up to wherever supporting forwards were - he just gave away possession and, ultimately, the game.
Hard to be complimentary about Scotland when they were so f**king stupid at times.

Well that was robbery but if PSA has a brain he will bring the changes for next week

Really tough to take for Scotland.

For England and Wales, probably the best possible result we could hope for; a France team bereft of confidence has no chance of beating Ireland, even at home. Maybe this will spur France on next week in Paris and open the door for the winner of the big one tomorrow.

Edit: Agree Olyy, some very poor decision making.
One thing which irked me was one time in the first half where Duncan Weir, the only Scottish player available for a clear out, decided it wasn't his job and ran back into the line. There was Lapandry getting into a good position over the ball and clearly going to win the penalty or turnover if not cleared out. Any decent half-back should have been able to make the decision that the ball was going to be lost if he didn't involve himself. Even if you're small, throw yourself in there, your team will only be without a 10 for one or two phases, and you can then rejoin the line. You have to be willing to make those decisions, and I think the likes of Sexton and Farrell would have made the right call.

Winning is not important as long as you win!!!!!!!! Another victory and now bring on the Irish and lets see what happens!!!!!!!!! Limited for choices, as they are blighted by foreigners, in the TOP 14 have no youth coming through (-20's so far unbeaten) they are not doing too bad as a bunch of no hopers who apparently are crap, as i have seen so often printed on this forum, they now play Ireland to decide who wins the championship maybe!!!!!!!!!! see what happens tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so!!! so!!! sos!!! so!!! so!!! sos!!! so!!! LUCKY.!!!!!!!

First sentence is vital there and bang on. For a team playing poorly in reality they're still playing for 6 Nations next Saturday. But not that I'd disagree with you regards 20s fact is it's potential but not necessarily proof there is anything coming through

I actually didn't care if we won it or not at the end. And the Huget interception didn't even make me think of smiling.

For the first time (not that I've been a fan officially for decades) I watch France play and don't feel like we're good. Even when we play the AB's I feel we have a chance, cause we're France, we've got good players, the scrum...

It's the first time I don't even feel my pride is hurt (with all due respect, Scottish fans) when I see France about to lose to Scotland. A part of me really, really wanted it to happen so maybe just maybe we'd also lose to Ireland and the whole coaching staff would be in serious peril.

Yes this was a France B, and we cannot forget that. And I don't know what the hell happened to the scrum, but seeing Scotland ask the ref for scrum was just sci-fi material. Literally. Couldn't be reality.

I seriously thought France would navigate through this one on auto-pilot and win by 10-15 with a few nice counter-attacks or wtvr. I can't remember much of what we did tbh...the lineouts, the occasional scrums (no thanks to that NZ ref btw), the shhitty passes, the fkd up fundamentals, perpetually feeding players almost at defense level with no depth whatsoever, the stupid moves...

I actually see now this is who we are. I thought the Cardiff game was an absolute disaster, but no, it was just an off-game. Our actual standard level isn't all that much greater, and our absolute optimum, i.e. the game against England, isn't a whole lot above standard.
We can create nice plays every once in a while, but with so little consistency it's afflicting.

About the game now:
- Basta was actually fkn great. Most criticized of all the bleus, he really turned up big time winning TO ball, one really huge 5m from our line, breaking tackles, making meters each time...
- Plisson isn't who I thought he'd be. An aesthetically pleasing game at Paris, with confidence and youth in unison - just a guy who kicks the ball back to the opponents and doesn't bring anything to our attack.
- Machenaud is much better than we all thought. I think we should go Parra-Machenaud, with a little opening for Pélissié (Montypellier).
- Dulin is a brilliant FB. Never fails under the high ball, good counterattacker etc...
- Thank God for Huget. But Médard doesn't offer anything at the wing.
- We need our real third row back. Lapandry had one nice TO but just doesn't have the MASS for test level with those other monsters we face at the breakdown or ball-in-hand, and the Vahaa at 6 experiment has failed. Chouly with some quality, but fk finesse at no. 8, I want MASS MASS MASS. Gimme Picamoles and his "one-dimensional" game.
- Really wish we had FTD right now. Plisson can still be very good, but he needs more club Rugby. Talès made such an awful pass there at a point.
- Slimani is showing encouraging signs at TH, but I don't know what's happened to our fkn French scrum. Is is Mas who's completely aging and dying ??...or too many changes in the setpiece..
- We need our real hookers PRONTO. Mach and the lineout cost us plenty, plenty, plenty...amazing to look at, I'll check the stats I think we lost 130% off own feed, smt like that..
