2014 6 Nations: Scotland vs France (Round 4)

I would like the French to win here and to beat Ireland also then let the point difference separate them from England.............and if England win, so be it!!

Edit...Sorry, wrong button, but cannot see it coming to that!!!

Oh looks at that, the Scots have put out the flags of both nations this time. Hope Scotland win just to take France out of the running. France losing here, England winning tommorow and then France beating Ireland would be ideal. The only way England stand a chance otherwise is if our seniors do what our U20's did to Wales, which I would very much like to see.

Great minds, and all that :p

Hadn't realised that the backrow was beattie brown and Denton - Johnson must have been reading my posts :p

Weird that beattie is wearing 6 but packed down at 8.

That had to be a penalty not a scrum?

Edit...well they got it right in the end...bloody hell, I am agreeing with Davies!!

Yeahhhhhh baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oleeeeeeeeeeeee oleeeeeeeeeee oleeeeeeee oleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Stuart! Stuart!

It's just occurred to me that we barely ever see bombs.

Underused?

Was thinking that myself - been watching a lot of league recently and often find myself wanting the player to put the kick up.
The ability to call for a mark does make it a bit riskier for the attackers.

the Old GarreyOwen eh.....I think we see a lot of them from the attacking side who run out of ideas around the half way line but coaches and opinion now is that you should not throw possession away on the off chance which is why grubbers and high balls once the attacking side is in the 22, unless they work, are usually frowned on!

How often do we see teams spend 10+ phases stuck on the 5m line only to be turned over or concede a penalty - bombs probably have a higher success rate than keeping the ball once you get past 6-7 phases with ball in hand.

Could be but the real problem there is that the forwards do not know when to stop bashing against an impregnable wall and the scrum half seems to continue feeding it to the forwards going the same way until they get to the touchline when he changes direction. I am sure that the scrum half should be able to vary the direction of attack more and use backs and the forwards rather than just forwards......a lobbed ball is a risk of losing possessions that most coaches would tear their hair out over!

Good try but it should have gone to video ref.......bloody hell, Davies is right again!!

"Seymour has a good try scoring record, he scored a couple against Japan"

Oh Nicol you nutty Scot, a couple against Japan is not a good try scoring record.
