A lot of people are making too much of this. Is it great?: no. Is it Madden-like in graphics?: Not unless we're talking '09. But it's actually not that bad. Also. it's really stupid to try and criticize gameplay in still photos! C'mon people! I think it doesn't look that bad at all. Rugby is a complex game, it's all about the details, and it's extremely hard to program AI to react appropriately to all types of situations during the course of play. Just like real players make mistakes, AI will too. It's more realistic like that. So just wait for the game, or a demo/beta to come out before you begin ripping it to shreds!

Its not being ripped to shreds, i think its a case of people expecting it to look similar to Rugby Challenge does and the screens weve seen look like a slightly improved rugby 08. And after a four year wait surely you'd expect more than that!

I love it when the racist is completely wrong as well! I have lots of mates who are black, asian and american... wait lol just joking about that last one, who watch, play and enjoy rugby ahelavalot. Stupid racist... your so stupid... Rugby is probably the only sport that no matter of size, weight, colour, intellect... there's is a place for everyone and everyone could be the fastest, strongest or smartest rugby player... it's brilliant! That's one of my reasons that it's the best sports in the world!

That article is great...shows that its so much more than just the world cup! doing your own tours sound great....could they include some sort of lions tour??!! The side stepping sounds harder which is great, cause it was too easy to side step in the last game. 4 years but finally got what looks like two great rugby games!!

Wow that report sounds promising! Although it does seem to confirm no random pools. You will be stuck doing ground hog year with the the
world cup. This will cut a bit of longevity but if the gameplay is good enough Ill have all the international comps with pen and paper.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a randomised WC option - The article does go on about how you can follow in the footsteps of your team through the tournament, but I think they emphasise that because of it's link to the actualy WC

I hope youre right, but you couldnt do it in 08, so I will assume its the same until I hear otherwise to avoid being let down later.

The fact that HB placed a lot of emphasis on how important gameplay is to them, and how that needs to be right is slightly confusing based on what the screenshots show again. Obviously we havent seen gameplay from either ***le yet in a form of a video but Sidhe definitely looks promising based on graphics, and for some licensing content to. A demo maybe vital in clinching customers for HB, but Im still set on buying both games.

dear oh dear. Call me a pessimist but those screenshots don't make me very excited.

I've withheld from criticising HB too much (even after their incredibly lazy effort for 08), but four years is a long time to wait for a game that by the looks of these screenshots, really won't have caught up with the times.

Still maybe I'm wrong and the game will be amazing.

At the very least, if the gameplay isn't much better than 08 then I expect the presence of every Top 14 club and Connacht on top of the ones they had before, and a roster where players are assigned the right nationalities, positions, skin colour and something close to their real-life attributes.

International Test mode sounds great. Also glad to see kicking shootout, I was hoping something like that would be included.
