I think kaftka means he has to wait for the xbox(coz he cant afford) Im the same though, just get 1000 dollars course related costs. Thats how i got the money. 988 is what its gonna cost me for the console, 3 games, and a charge and play kit.

yeah seems everyone is doing the the midnight launch for the x-360. eb,gamesman and gpstore have all confirmed midnigh launches.

well, im no longer going to the midnight release. Gamesman hav fight night but they wont release until 9am, and oblivion isnt coming till friday, its not worth the trouble now, just for madden, so ill get a good nights sleep and head in first thing tomorrow.

wrong ceejay. its only the pc version that is delayed. x360 version is still being released on time.

Report: Sony admits PS3 delay possible

Issues with mass production of Blu-ray drives could be to blame if spring system launch is pushed back to fall.

In recent weeks, speculation that Sony would not make its previously announced spring 2006 release date for the PlayStation 3 has grown after a Merrill Lynch report predicted the new console would be pushed back until the end of the year, or perhaps later. Japanese site Sankei Web is reporting that Sony has acknowledged the possibility of a delay in the system, and that such a delay would be due to problems with the mass production of the console's built-in Blu-ray drive.

A Sony spokesperson is quoted in the article as saying, "The highest quality picture is vital to the PS3. There is a possibility of delay [to the launch] if delivery of parts is delayed."

The article suggests that if Sony does delay the system, it would put the launch off until after October in order to hit the busy holiday season. It also quotes Enterbrain president Hiokazu Hamamura as saying that if Sony hasn't started taking orders for the system by now, it would be difficult for the company to launch the PS3 in May. [/b]

Yeah sorry, I meant the 360.

I'm not anticipating the PS3 at all at the moment. I WAS excited for it, but all this dicking about seems to have lost Sony quite a few potential customers. I'm going to wait and find out from many impartial people if it's going to be worth it...


Anyway, the big clincher for the 360 for me will be Xbox Live. That sounds bloody brilliant and from many accounts, well implemented within the system, rather than an add-on.


...Of course, games will be unplayable for us measly NZers, but still....

aye they should but ceejay does have it slightly wrong. oblivion is releasing at midnight but the pc versions is delayed because of the x360 launch.

Well esoj, gamesman arnt giving me a copy till friday.They say they dont hav it yet .Ill go to eb and see if they hav it 2morrow. It was a bit dodgy about fight night, but if they wont give it to me what can i do. Its a bit of an anticlimax for me. Ill go to bed early and get thre at 9 sharp. F**king gamesman, i try to support them but they dont make it easy.

I bought oblivion at kmart this morning, but when i went to pick up myt360, they had it at gamesmn, they said they got an email saying it was ok to release it at midnight w****kers. Havent played it yet, about to start now . Hav played madden and FN and am enjoying both despite the lack of content in both. FN dosent even hav manual replays anynmore!! loads of fun. Madden is not as good looking as i was expecting, the crowd still looks like cardboard from a distance. Overall though i am having loads of fun.

when im playing oblivion the sound cuts out evry 2 or three secondsWTF!! this dosent happen with any other games.

hmmm....it only seems to happen in the intro and cut scenes?

Oblivion is really awsome, let down only by large amounts of stuttering freazing and loading. You hav to do a sort of manual defrag on your xbox when it gets to bad. It was feezing about every 10 seconds though. Hasnt ruined the game though.Been playing for hours and i havent got much done, to busy exploring.

OMG!! I am a total idiot!! Ive been running my tv at 50hz when its capable of 60hz. Now madden looks awsome, FN even better, and oblivion is smooth as. Im such a moron, wasted a whole day playing with crap.

Well after a couple of days playing my games, heres some impressions.

Fight Night: FN is great fun, and looks amazing, but it does feel a bit empty. Many people said it was too easy, so far im doing a career with hatton and its a challenge. All the exhbition matches i played on hard were real tough. Career mode is still fun to play through, just the same as FNR 2 except a bit less deapth. The ability do spar before a fight is great fun, at least at first. Its clear that his is a showcase game designed to wow you and strip you of your money. I think they will reinplememnt all the features they removed and sell them back to us in the next version. Still butloads of fun to be had.

Madden: Well after all the extremely negative feedback, i was plesantly surprised by madden. Lack of content, rules and a few 'rushed' buggy things aside, madden is a great looking football game with awsome animations. Allthough off the field there is a huge lack of deapth, on the field you feel like your there, especially with the awsome crowd. It clearly a showcase game too, but huge fun.

Elder Scrolls oblivion: This game is shaping up to be the best game of all time. It just mind blowingly huge and immersive, its the game i thougt no one could make. Theres too much to even explain. Pure gold. So far, short of a disaster this game will be a 10/10 for me.
