I honestly think that Mcilroy is worth more than Messi. Obviously Messi is unbelievable but he plays his football in Spain and hasn't done anything of note with the Argentinian national team. Whereas Mcilroy has two major victories two play-off victories and two ryder cup victories and everyone in golf agrees he is the best player in the world whereas Messi has certain players like Cristiano Ronaldo to battle with to be considered number 1.

Fair enough, he is presently the best Golfer, based on rankings. But based on achievements, he would not be the best golfer in the world. Even with his shaky run of form, Tiger Woods has won a lot more tournaments than Rory. IMO, tiger will still be the best golfer in the world for a long long time. and that would most probably be the view by many other people living in the present...
