Who will win 2012 RBS 6 Nations?

Time and time again I find myself amazed by peoples opinions. "France or Wales look like winning the Grand Slam at this stage". Really?? Do they? What I've seen time and again is that all it takes for a teams form to completely shift in another direction is a couple of games and a couple of months in between competitions. So France and Wales are the best teams now that they reached the latest stages of the WC? Have we learnt anything new about France that we didn't know before? couple of good results spread out in mostly poor performancees. sounds like france to me. Wales putting in some strong performances and still losing 3 games? Sounds like Wales to me. I just find myself very frustrated with how short peoples memories are.

My prediction is that 5 of the 6 teams will not contineu where they left off from the world cup

Wales have the more settled team than England/France/Italy and have a better team than Ireland and Scotland so its theirs to lose.

Scotland wooden spoon

I am not sure I can see Wales beating England at Twickeham, and then beating Ireland away. I don't think they are good enough to win both those games and France at home will not be an easy game. I think England may have a point to prove and I feel a England team that plays well will beat an Wales team playing well.

Wales don't have anyone with the bottle to win a tight match even though he has over 100 caps Jones shyed away from a drop goal. O'Gara, Wilkinson and Parks all have bottle.

I think you could argue that with England and Ireland they have a pack that's good enough to put them in that position and control it, something Wales struggle with.

I think England would struggle in that area these days. Wilkinson won't be around in the 6N, I think, and even if he was I don't think England would be able to do it like the days of old - Ireland, with O'Gara on, would be the best in the 6N at edging out the win

Adam Jones. He can do them from ~40m.
Hook has a good boot for the drop goal, but his kicking suffered along with many others during the RWC.
Wellies has never been particularly good at drop goals, I can only really recall one that he made, NZ 2010.

Priestland will get better as he gains more confidence.

While we had a decent performance in the RWC, that by no means guarantees a good Six Nations. We need to keep building. I can see quite a few changes in the squad, and I think they will use this to bring in some new players. That doesn't mean we won't go for it though.

True, Bergamasco is still out, recovering from a shoulder injury so he will not be in top shape when the tournament starts.
Maybe they have some new talent coming thru?

It is unfortunate that Sexton forgets how to kick when he's in green. He's played in blue home and white away kits all his life actually bit strange.

Apologies JW I definitely meant to write Ireland in there no les blues! You are quite right, France were hideously inconsistent!!
