What TV Show's are you watching/looking forward to?

The Simpsons are now in their 35th season (753 episodes so far). I'm an old fart and remember when it began. And here we are three and a half decades later. That's amazing! I don't watch it very often, but I know people who are still avid fans after all these years. Congratulations to everyone involved with the show. 👍

Peak Simpsons still a long time ago though (S3-8) and before they just made Homer an unredeemable clown caricature.

I've been putting Simpsons on in the background a lot recently (usually tap out about season 12ish)
Season 8, imo, is one of the best series of television made - just consistent banger after banger
Hank Scorpio, Mr Burns' Son, Side Show Bob's brother, Homer as a boxer, Bart working in the burlesque house, Mr Burns as an alien, Milhouse's parents get divorced and much more

Just top quality

Rewatched Sherlock. Reminded me how great it was to begin with and then slowly deteriorated. Shame it ended badly.

I think its one of those shows with a ton of promise and never actually delivers on it.

Watched the first Saville program with Steve Coogan who used to voice Saville on spitting image playing Saville. Very dark

Can't bring myself to watch it. As someone old enough to remember the 'Jim'll Fix it show" the very idea of him just makes my stomach churn. Had the tune come into my head the other week and couldn't get it out. The ultimate Rolo Tomassi who got away with it. If there is a hell I hope his soul is suffering in it.

About 6 episodes into Ahsoka and really enjoying it
I've not watched any of the animated star wars shows, which a lot of these characters are from, so sometimes it feels like you're missing a bit of info/backstory/whatever but it's not too bad

Much flashier/shallower than Andor, lots of lightsabers and shootouts etc. very different feel to it - really like the variety of shows they're making in this universe

Edit: just finished this: definitely recommend it

So sad about Ray Stevenson, was great in it. Looks physically massive too!

Yeah was really gutted about that - somehow his passing had passed me by so I only found out when I googled why the first episode was dedicated to him

i loved it, i have watched all the animated shows and so it was so much fun seeing them brought to life, glad to see someone who hasn;t seen them enjoy it as i was a little worried

he was so good, and i loved how they actually gave him s a fighting style that worked with this big bloke, completely different to ahsoka, you really felt he was landing blows

the books were recommended to me during COVID, i read the first one and then when we got Amazon a couple of months back i jumped on the chance to watch the show

so true to the books, like i had the exact same feeling watching as i had reading, some confusion at the intricate aspects of the plots etc, the same moments or realisation etc

i really liked the original animated series and think this looks promising
