What are you listening to pt 4

Incubus - Rogues

Get that song! Beg, borrow or steal. Better yet get the album it's from, 'Light Grenades'.

Jedi Mind Tricks, for some reason I'm taking a liking to underground hip hop all of a sudden.

I'm not really into rap or hip hop but one of my friends who are, especially underground, really digs this guy called MF Doom. His style is kinda like Kanye West's but with an underground influence. And best of all, he has made his music free.

Neither, but just lately I've been listening to it. Never thought I would be 'cos it's hardly my style, just got an mp3 disc from a mate and it had them in there.

Jedi Mind Tricks is sick. If you like him you should you should try "Canibus" he's a really good underground artist.

One of my mates gave me an album from Canibus called Mind Control. Not bad at all, and he told me it's not even his best work. But he also said his recent stuff is rubbish compared to his work a few years back.

Darkman, do you by any chance use Fruity Loops? That music producing program

Mind control is actually one of his worst albums that doesnt mean its bad though its still better than 90% of the **** thats out nowadays. Hip Hop For Sale was his worst ( I still like it though it) his best albums are 2000 BC, Rip The Jacker and Mic Club. I havent heard for whom the beat tolls but the few songs i've heard its sounds good. Poet Laureatte Infinty is 1000 Bars thats crazy! Canibus has quotables for days. People have written 20 page essays on just a single song.

Oh yeah, Ive tried Fruity loops im no expert at producing but i downloaded better programs coz i was gonna make beats for my m8 but im 2 busy with school. Why do you ask?

I've been using Fruity Loops for about 2 and a half years now. I was first making drum 'n bass beats for the 1st 6 months (lost them when my PC crashed), and then one of my mates asked me to make him some hip hop/rap beats. To date I've made about 30 complete(-ish) songs and 70 un-complete 'songs'. I asked because I enjoy doing compilations, tweaking other peoples beats and vice versa. Gives me fresh ideas and so on.

*Just a quick note: www.dubsession.com only has mixes of MF Doom in some thier huge collection of mixes, not his originals*

Sugarcult - Desintation Anywhere

One of the most underrated bands i've heard in a long while.

Nat King Cole and Nathalie Cole singing Unforgettable.
I love that song :p Pretty good how they did it too, I believe it was recorded after Father Cole died. Not sure about that :s
