Warm Up Match 1: New Zealand Barbarians v British & Irish Lions (Whangarei)

4 successive held up verdicts, bit skeptical myself, no doubt we've played like arse though

Lol Joseph was definitely worth a look at the TMO but it's a Barbarians style game.
Cecil the Lion didn't ******* die for this.
I'd just like to say that the guy who does the ads for Bet 365 must be the 'ardest owild Codga in the willllld.

How's he not gone to the tmo for that? It may have been held up when the ref arrived but it looked like it slid in on the floor

Shithouse first half anyway
George, Kruis, Webb, Farrell and Daly can't come on soon enough

Half time Webb needs to come on for Laidlaw, Faz for Sexton and maybe even Daly for Hogg in the backs and Kruis for either of Hendo or Jones. Some truly awful performances ATM.

****** the odds for the NZ Barbarians to win the first half was very tempting

Whos hot: Faletau, Sinckler, Te'o, Watson
Who's not: Sexton, Laidlaw, Hogg,
Overall other than Faletau no one really nailing down that test spot. A good few players trying their best to not make the test team though. Will be interesting to see what impact subs can make, it's a loose game so very open for individual achievement

jeez this is poor. Laidlaw, Hogg and Sexton have been shocking this far. Faletau easily the best player on the pitch, but Sinckler is also standing out, whilst Te'o is looking fat better than Joseph.

Webb needs to come ob at half-time, see if that changes things for the likes of Sexton and Joseph. There's space out there to exploit around the fringes, but Laidlaw is no threat whatsoever.

Because it's the Lions against a local Barbarians side, most of them are literally amateur

Furlong in for Sexton. Need some attacking flair. Laidlaw to be thrown into the nearest volcano as a sacrifice to the gods and a swift departure from Christianity and static rugby. Good pay off.
