Wales vs BaaBaas

So what are we looking at regarding the Barbarians now?

1. Iestyn Thomas
2.
3. John Hayes
4.
5.
6. George Smith
7. Martyn Williams
8. Sergio Parisse
9. Dwayne Peel
10. Ruan Pienaar
11. Paul Sackey
12. Francois Steyn
13. Mathieu Bastareaud
14. Ian Balshaw
15. Cedric Heymans

Who would you guys give the other three spots to? And the uncapped spot?

Carl Hayman and Leonardo Ghiraldini added to the squad apparently,
In that case drop Hayes to the bench :p

Will be interesting to see who the locks will be - Depending on whether Johnson is thinking of playing him in the England XV I think Graham Kitchener could be the uncapped spot

Paul ***o added ...

Ah, I was going to say ***o yesterday, but thought they might go with someone different so said Kitchener instead :p

That's a fair few Welsh fringe (and ***o) players involved that'll be wanting to impress Gatland to try and make it into the WC squad

To many, and considering that ***o is penciled in on Wales 50 man WC squad list ... god help us.

Italy will be annoyed if Parisse gets injured playing in a match like this

also stop laying into Paul ***o, yes he's not good enough for the Wales team, but he always tries his best in every match and overall has been a good signing for the Cardiff Blues

Yes he's been good and yes he gives his all but he is not good enough to be considered anywhere near a Wales squad anymore. There are options out there so we best use them instead.

If we can get our own lineouts under control, we could apply good pressure on the Barbarians.
Front row could also be targeted, I just wish Adam was selected.
Midfield could be a good target for us as well, if we start Henson and Foxy.

Thats quite a tasty BaBaa's side..... defo think it will cause us some trouble. I hope that we field a strong side, but obviously utilising the game to try out players in key positions. Falatau for 8 is a must :D :D And good old gav at 12 ;) ;)

Yeah, I think they would suit this match very well.
I'd also start Brew on the wing (shock!) as again, he would suit this game.
Based on Bennett's recent performances, I would not be shocked to see Lloyd Burns on the bench.

Gotta agree with Brew. I wouldn't play Shane to be honest, rather have him fit for world cup than come back too soon really :D :D We d need him, no matter how "old" he is. Think we need to use him like united do with Giggs, look after him cause we "click" with him, and have something missing without. Would like to see North and Brew on the wings. Henson and Jon Davies centres??? Falatau, Warburton and Lydiate in the Backrow. Wouldn't mind seeing Ryan in the 2nd row too :D

Start Charteris, we need at least three proper Second Rows to take to New Zealand.
Shane is too valuable, North and Brew like you said. Add Stoddart and you have an aful back three defencively. Not bad in attack though.

Totally agree :D :D :D i know its a bold call, but i wouldn't mind priestland being given a game at fly half. Stephen is gonna be our fly half at the WC, so why not at least try the guy there. If **** hits the fan, at least Jones could then come on and control the ship? Would have liked Tovey there myself. Also just noticed Bevingtons in the squad, would love to see him impose himself in the welsh team. Seems to be a very dynamic player for his size, would like to see what he can do at international level, i guess this would be the game to do it. Saying that its quite contradictory to say that i want to see a strong squad then say a load of "inexperienced" guys should get the nod. hahaha ah well i've said it now

It's a BaaBaas game, crazy running rugby is what we want to see, who cares about defence if you're scoring loads of tries :D

If Wales conceded a shed load of tries the Fail will be off on one.

Ah, but the Fail can suck it!

No one watches Barbarians matches to see a well defended match decided on penalties, they want to see a prop run a 98m intercept try after a crossfield kick by Paul ***o

Only if Hook's injury is bad. From what I have heard it is a shoulder muscle tear, ~3 month recovery time after surgery.
If it is, and surgery is required, he could make it for the RWC but miss out on the August tests (probably a good thing)
I'd like to see Nicky have a go, but I imagine he is in a similar situation to that of Peel.
