Wales v Ireland

u just repeated what i said and by the way ireland only have a bad record against 2 6 nations teams in the past 3 years
france and scotland

If it's not all luck then why have you only beaten them twice in the past 3 years?
the same goes for england lost in 2008 but won in 2009 2010

DorceOutSide you have to attack other areas instead of looking at the point. We were discussing ROG and you have brought nothing new to the table. You attack the record of other nations when really you should be sssshhhh because last time I checked the table, England were on top.

Silly! I haven't checked the table for 2 years and I'm well happy.

Is this a thread about a rugby match? Cant see for the life of me with all the schoolboy squabbling going on.

I'd like to see Cullen come in to steady the lineout, and Leamy get booted from the squad, but aside from that I dont see many changes to the Irish side.

Wales dont worry me. Their scrum is meh, their lineout is meh and their backplay to date is meh. Its going to be a SH ref so I dont think Ireland will get pinged too heavily at all. We'll win comfortably enough. 10_ points I reckin.

Surely the same could be said about Ireland though?
Their scrum is the best it's ever been, but not exactly dominant, their lineout is alright, but was taken apart by Scotland, and their backplay is, as you said, meh

If you go position vs position on each team I'd go for Wales on almost every one (depending on which scrumhalf Ireland choose they're better there with Stringer and Reddan - if Heaslip can get his form back then I'd have him over Jones, Fitz over Byrne, Bowe over Stoddart, but that's about it really)

Lads Ireland have been playing shite rugby recently but they have always looked the most threatening team its just idiotic individual mistakes that has separated this team from a grand slam...I don't like seeing so many people write them off so early.. especially the English as they will get a rude awakening at Landsdowne :p

Especially when Sean O'Brian makes another porno with PDJ and Haskell.

Well there you go then, looks like you have it all worked out. You can join the Welsh rugby is awesome brigade.

Look at the Irish performances (not the scores of the matches). Remove the penalties and errors (which we have been steadily doing) and your looking at comfortable wins over both France and Scotland. We are improving every week, we will be better against Wales, and incidently, we'll be a whole lot better against England.

Sean O'Brien and Haskell aren't girls. They're ladyboys.

I didn't think I had to specify who the Ox was

On a semi yet its missing so much:/

edit posted different vid by mistake :p fuuuu there

Remove the penalties and errors (the bad things) and of course you're only going to be left with the good things :S

I'm not saying Wales are the best team in the world, just that player for player I'd say that their players are better at the moment

I've feeling Irelands penalty count will be down. It a big 2 weeks in camp to work on these. We are also getting our units comfortable together.

How exactly did you get to that conclusion? You seem a little bit delusional at the minute. At least all the Welsh lads on here realise that we're playing poorly. We could quite easily just say the exact same thing as you have just done, but mistakes are part of the game, you can't just switch then off like that. Ireland should be 0 from 3 , as they have been outplayed in all their matches so far and are quite frankly looking extremely poor. The same argument can be said for Wales, 20 min of good rugby followed by 60min on the back foot.

At the moment, the only good things going for Irelend is a decent backrow (haven't been great), good 10, and a good back-three. The scrum has been ok in the last two games, and should be ok against the Welsh scrum missing Adam. Second row's look a little past it, and are no longer dominant at the lineout (famous last words). Backrow is decent, but at the moment is relying on Wallace (who's sitting on the edge of the hill) and a rooky at test level who's making as many mistakes as he is doing good things. Add to that an injury prone Ferris, and things are looking equal, if not better for us Welsh in that department.

Both teams have a similar problem at scrum half when the 1st choice plays. If both teams retain their 9's from last weekend, Ireland have a big edge here. 10's are similar, in that we both have a creative choice and a steady choice. Sexton has more recent experience in the role, but a biased me would still take Hook. O'Gara is in better form than Jones (doesn't sound right to say). Irish centres have been poor, very poor. The only things I've seen them do this 6 nations is butcher opportunities with knock ons (D'Arcy) or poor passing (O'Driscoll). Whilst the expected Welsh pairing of Roberts and Davies haven't been amazing, they're still currently a cut above. Both back-threes are strong, especially with Halfpenny/North back for us. I'm not always convinced with Earls, he still needs to convince me he's gonna be the superstar he's been built up to be by the Irish. Byrne is the key for Wales, was the Italy game a start of a return to form, or a flash in the pan?

Wales to win for me. Anyone predicting an Irish win by 10+ points, or somehow have it in their head that they individual errors are all that's seperating this team from a grand-slam need to wake up.

I can smell the fear

I suspect O'Brien will be injured by the 19th. Because Haskell and O'Brien have never been seen in the same place at the same time. They are indeed the same person.

Or because Lydiate will rip him apart.........
