It has been a bit scrappy at times. The highlight of the half was that ruck right at the end when the Highlanders sent almost their whole team in!

They have been all season if you ask me. Consistently the team that you can guarantee to get themselves a handful of turnovers at the breakdown every game.

The highlight of the half was that ruck right at the end when the Highlanders sent almost their whole team in!

My highlight was seeing Rutledge in the right place at the right time for his try. Brilliant support play for the Hooker to get a deservedly easy run in try.

Oof, Chiefs played a really nice build up, going through the phases, to get that try. Sneaky half back tries seem to be the call of the weekend this week.
Chiefs in the lead and Highlanders need to front up now coz the Chiefs are starting to look dangerous in attack, especially with Highlanders missing first up tackles.

Masaga has gone straight past Robinson about 4 times in a row now... Highlanders look in trouble.

Quite a long way away. He's hopeless on defense and very suspect under the high ball. He does look great with the ball in hand though!

I love Masaga with ball in hand, but he has the curse of being one of those "smaller" (i use that word very loosely) wingers that the All Blacks selectors just don't want to pick. His weakness under the high ball won't be too much of a problem if you ask me, but he's got to work on his tackling technique. Pay attention to Shane Williams who can bring down guys much bigger than him just by using textbook tackles.

Aye, you make some good points there. He does seem a little positionally clueless at times, but only in defence. The guy must have played 7s coz he knows how to support and he definitely knows how to finish. Only problem is, teams are always gonna take advantage of the high ball when they're up against him. Nothing he can do about that unfortunately...except practice jumping. Real high.
