USA vs All Blacks - 01/11

You missed the one guy would could actually be a beast in Rugby.

WATTTTT

I thought you were gonna say Jarryd Hayne

Watt could be an amazing impact player, but I prefer Gronk or Patrick Willis over him at the lineup

Let's pray to the Rugby Gods, DC doesn't get injured in the first 30 seconds. USA by 100 points.

I would have liked to see Carlin Isles take on the Bus, but unfortunately Isle only plays sevens at the moment.

Carlin Isles would go from 'rugby fastest man' to 'rugby's flattest man'.

Hahaha!! I guess his speed won't won't help him when Savea is running straight at him, but if Savea is on the defence and has Isle outside him, he might be in trouble.

Maybe but I don't think he'd be given very much space to take the outside in XVs, and Carlin Isles 75kgs getting tackled by the very hard hitting 108kgs could again be pretty messy.

Yeah - Carlin doesn't really have the greatest footwork, he needs 10m to ark around someone.

Disagree with the footwork bit, I do agree that he sometimes arks mind.

However the video does show he would struggle at defence time.

"Carlin Isles Destroys England and also gets Destroyed", boy that video's quite some program.

Carlin Isles is another example of that rugby isn't athletics. He has the speed of an NFL player but that alone isn't enough, you need a set of skills to excel in rugby. He's a piece a sh*t

He might not be the all round package now, but if he get all the others skills up to top level and become more experienced on attack, he will be a real handful. This guy makes Habana look very slow!

Sevens isn't Rugby XV, plus most of the players are crap, or are defective players who can not excel in XV and then make a career in Sevens like Santiago Gomez Cora (Argentina) or DJ Forbes (NZ). Good players play Sevens at the first years of their career, when still can't play for their national XV teams, then earn minutes on the world circuit, but don't last long, just make some noise and coaches take them to their national XV teams. Carlin couldn't excel in Glasgow, he isn't an international level player

Ah ok thanks didn't realise XV man game was different to the 7s man game. Thought I couldn't count properly

Most of the players are not rubbish either. They have a different skills set required for the 7 man code.

Oh and the video was to show he does have decent footwork. Not if he could hack it in the XV man code.

Bit rough...he's a guy wants to try his luck in rugby, thought you'd be all for that considering your comments Jarrad Hayne is a piece of sh*t for joining the NFL instead of rugby..

Most of the players are hardly crap, they just generally have a different skill set. 7's is a great development tool, it doesn't mean the players aren't often great athletes..

must feel really weird walking around in pure daylight in the wide open streets of a huge city's downtown area with NOBODY having a *clue* who you are :p
"Oh, you're an All-Black ?! Yeah, heard of those...the Pakistani special marine commandos or somethin yeah ?"

To achieve the ALL package to play rugby you need at least 10 years of development. I started playing rugby at 8, just when I was 20. I knew tackling properly. The tackle is very very difficult, hard to get a good tackle requires great technique, too much accuracy, too much intelligence and thousands of hours of training. And that is ONE skill to play rugby, the pass also requires thousands of hours of training. Isles not going to get at least in the next 5 years.

Who is the best tackler at the NZ backline? Nonu? SBW? Fekitoa? Cory Jane? Nooooooooooo, the best tackler is Conrad Smith and he isn't the team's fastest player, neither is the strongest and heaviest player at NZ backline. He's smart, he's disciplined and above all, he has a HUGE technique. To be the best tackler you shouldn't be the best athlete, the technique is the most important thing. Lomu was bigger and faster than Conrad, but his defense was always ****. Robbie Fruean is stronger than Conrad, but his defense sucks. Look at Australia, Toomua is one of their best tacklers and he isn't the fastest or the strongest player. The technique is the most important thing, and good technique need thousands of hours of training.

Pretty sure there are only a handful of countries where even the most famous rugby players in the world would be recognised.
