Not 100% sure, but I think the perception is that we'll have a better team next year, certainly from a Munster POV, but we have a few good under 19s in there. Not sure who to hype from this group myself. Tommy O'Brien is captain.

Aungier, Stewart, Dean and Byrne are the only ones I'd know. I don't really follow this level as closely as when I was that age. Hope Dean or Byrne can do enough to get themselves a shot at overtaking Marsh.

I'd say Jack Aungier, Ronan Kelleher, Hugh O'Sullivan and Tommy O'Brien will end up being the top players to emerge from this age group. There appears to be decent depth here. Around twenty of them should have good pro careers.

Pity Doris got injured, he's a big loss.

Would have liked Ronan Foley to have replaced him but ah well.

Yeah. The general views are it is a good coaching team but a poor(ish) pool of players. This could be kind of good as it will allow the group approach the tournament with no pressure.
Also they will have had the longest pre-tournament camp of any Irish U-20 squad ever which is good as it has allowed them play games and train as a group so gelling shouldn't be an issue. They gave our A team a very good game before Christmas.

Keep an eye out for Tom O'Toole. Joined ulster academy this season straight out of Campbell College, he's got great hands, and several MOTM performances in B&I cup, one of which came off the bench. Talented lad, and provides some sort of hope for Ulster if he continues to add the beef

@ratsapprentice anyone to look out for in this years England U20s mate ?

Keep an eye out or Sam Moore, though. Very very highly rated by everyone who's seen him play, both fans and coaches alike. Believe he was player of the tour for the u18s last year.
Was invited to the senior Wales squad in the AIs and again in the 6N but he turned them down.

Back 3: Ibitoye, Loader, Olowofela Parton,

That squad should do the business v Italy. Certainly should have a string pack.

*Uncapped at U20 level

A lot of the dragons players have had experience in the first team in the Pro14 and Challenge cup which will only help their development. I'm surprised Will Jones isn't playing as he hasn't looked out of place in the Ospreys team, unless he is injured.

Reffell is really rated.
