TRF's 2014 FIFA World Cup

I watched Algeria South Korea at the bar earlier...man, South Korea are SHIIT. The first goal they scored was 100% luck, and the second one had some construction but the guy controls the ball with his back :p super lucky still. I understand we need teams from all over the world but...man, there's some crazy disparity between the teams...

Again??!! Come on man!!

:p it said 2-1 USA on the official website at 93 minutes and I couldn't find the game on stream anywhere so obviously concluded it was over and the States had won it 2-1. TOO BAD though...but the US are actually second in the pool atm, unbelievable. At the start of the Cup, they must've been left for dead playing against Portugal, Ghana, Germany. Well done, damn.
The last 2 games in that pool, USA Germany and Portugal Ghana, have the potential of being really entertaining stuff.

Whatever!

it's twice on the same weekend you done this. Surely it can't be blamed on that poor internet connection you have. Here's a tip, wait until there is a news report about the result. It works like a charm.

I am terribly sorry about that, for the second time. All my apologies. Would you like to comment on the Football World Cup, perhaps the comment I've left there about the Germany/USA pool, or another aspect/topic of the World Cup heineken ?

I have done that when my assigned team finished their game...

I'm not going to comment on matches I didn't watch, or players I don't know.

that being said, I think Germany will top their group, and maybe Portugal will just barely pull through as the runner up. Which will be a pity, because I don't want another African team to be a Ghana...

that's alright man. Let's just enjoy this thread and not instill wasteful and perfectly unnecessary negativity into it for no good reason, if you agree with that.

I reiterate I'm happy for the States, these guys are gonna start winning at soccer too now ?!...haven't seen em play, but Portugal have been abysmal. Everybody hates Ronaldo now it seems. I was at the bar the other day, every time he took a shot and missed against Germany, a bunch of ppl booed or got excited. And in Qatar, crowds are of course very mixed. Same with Spain, got the same vibe. I was out for the Spain Chile one, and nobody seemed to be for Spain. I guess when you win too much, ppl start hating you ! I was just happy they're out coz I hate their timid, insidious game.

USA has a really good team, and their MLS league attracts some great players, like Thierry Henry, David Beckham, Frank Lampard etc...

Did you know that Landon Donovon, the USA captain was the FIFA World Cup young player of the tournament during the 2002 event?

They are very underrated IMHO, and with the MLS getting more and more top players, and stars to go and play in the USA, they will just become even better...

Germany should beat the US by a few goals and Ghana should beat that Portugal side, they're awful. The US have been given an easy ride thus far with a below par Ghana and Portugal, they'll be left wanting in midfield against Germany and Johnson won't be able to cause havoc like he did last night. Germany with a comfortable win, Ghana to get by Portugal and those two teams to exit the group is my prediction.

I know this old flute's been played often before, but the U.S. have the potential - economically and culturally (and demographically !) - of being the best or at least Top 3 in every major team sports there are. Except Rugby, because they already have their own "Rugby", and that's been discussed massively enough and isn't even on-topic. But seeing them beat Ghana that gave Germany all too much sweat and scares, and come *that* close to beating a Portugal that needed a win more than desperately ?? I say goddayyumm.

Two last 16 games confirmed.

Brazil vs Chile
Netherlands vs Mexico

Can't predict either game. Brazil are so reliant on Neymar. Mexico have looked fantastic as have the Dutch (Arjen Robben especially).

So Italy and Uruguay to battle it out tonight, hey. I have something on but will try to postpone to watch this glorious Italian march to the last XVI.

Well, I will be cheering for Uruguay, my fav. team besides my home country. Ever since the early 90s I've been intrigued by that team. I can't explain it.

GARRA CHARRUA! ;)

No one's gay for Moleman

Hmm at least Suarez will take all the headlines tomorrow after another dismal showing by England.
