Anyways agreed Superalex. Amazing goal by Messi though, I don't even watch football at all and even I can see the difference in his strikes from everybody else. But that's worrying: counting on a monumental goal from Messi at the 90th minute to beat IRAN.

Right now, and I'm only going by a mainstream assessment of the teams that have impressed, it's Germany, France and Holland. Basically continental Western Europe, well, minus Switzerland
All Latin teams have been decimated, England literally out, African nations are dying out one by one...right now, it's continental Europe and some Latina American underdogs.

Anyways, found myself wanting Ghana to win all of a sudden...they played awesome, but could've used a bit of brains often...too bad, a very fluid game, highly athletic style. Move up the field really quick. Pretty stuff.

Germany isn't all that scary this year...all the better for Frankreich. With Spain out, Portugal and Argentina in a bad state, Brazil very mediocre and very underwhelming for the home side and highest number of WC winners...Switzerland absolutely annihilated yesterday night....pretty cool landscape for Fransch.

What a good game between Ghana and Germany. Just finished watching it now as I had to record it and watch it with a bit of delay.

The only African team that can truly compete with the big dogs.

My assigned team the Germans have never lost when Miroslav Klose scored a goal. Ghana missed a lot of chances, and they should've won. Now they have to beat Portugal in their final pool game. They are still in this.
