naah, the guy only have 70 games in professional level yet, it is still early.
No, I just don't think that's a sensible point. Why would playing for England affect how people view him? There are top, top players who play for nations who are much worse than England (Bale, Dzeko, Ibrahimovic, etc.)
Sterling is having a fine game. I don't think that makes him a world beater just yet. That's a rather premature judgement, even with the season he's had. Does that mean that someone will come in with a large offer for him? Not necessarily. Madrid are stacked out wide with Bale, Di Maria and co. and he wouldn't really fit Barca's style of play. Not a chance of Liverpool accepting a bid from another English side.
That's what I was trying to allude to. If Sterling were Brasilian, he'd be touted as the 'next great thing', with the Spaniards getting their chequebooks out.
Think the time, along with a drink or two(or maybe a few more), meant my 'cognitive reasoning' was a bit out of whack last night
Argentina have been rather underwhelming to this point. Bosnia the better side.
Yeah, that was a pretty tidy goal. Game has livened up a bit in the past 10 mins.
Yeah, because Real Madrid have never paid an insane amount of money for a British player, right?
I wouldn't tout him as a next big thing, no matter for which country ge plays. He's not in the same class as Bale, Neymar or Messi, who have rightfully been touted as the next big thing.
If I had to compare him with someone, it would be more in the line of his fellow Englishmen, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott...
My nominated team are busy crushing the Portuguese...
3-0 to Germany so far...
