TRF EA Rugby '06 NZ Tournament

Yep GG - hes back in Auckland, ill email him to remind him to get in touch for a game with you - now i expect you to thrash him with all you moves - and feel free to show him how to do them - im the last person he would show the moves too, brothers are always very competitive.

He should be keen for a game or two - seeing as i managed to send him home with a few losses under his belt, oh except for the 79 - 10 game where i must have been asleep and took a beating

70-10....lol...sounds like my trainer!

Well I will take him into my bed....er....I mean....fold....and show him everything I know so far.......or he may show me something or two lol!

If he gives me a beat down I will retire

....anyway....expect a different player when your brother plays you again. Is he your younger or older brother?

One thing I won't do is introduce him to my trainer....as he may retire for sure...my trainer is ruthless and just keeps on killing you...and the saddest thing is that he won't ever tell you what you are doing wrong....he just sits there quietly and snickers away while you agonise for weeks on what the hell is happening. In a way he is not so much a trainer...but rather a player. Anyway...he lives with my ex (hes married to my ex's sister) and I don't really expect to see him too much nowadays (I have to put up with my ex yelling at me when I go to see him) so may have to play with your bro more often for gaming practice.

Does your bro have his own place? Or an xbox? I can even bring my trainer over to play with me and your bro if your brother has his own place.........

I can give you my mobile number if you want to pass it on to Bullytheguru.....

he is my older brother hes 29 going on 30 in October, yep my Brother has his own place, just him and his wife living out in Te Atatu, got my oldest brother staying with him too at the moment. He doesnt have an xbox so youll need to take yours over. PM me your mobile and ill pass it on to him.

lol...older brother eh....well we can't let the yungins get the better of us old folk....so yeah...I will have no prob sharing with him

Yep....gonna pm my mobile now :)

 this is the right topic for this post

one of your tournament players was beaten last night by me! a noob thats only been playing for about three weeks! apparently i have a bit of potential

oh by the way, i bet the future Best General Poster - Andrew Horton

Yes, you do Mono. It was a very bold move to challenge me earlier in the evening, with me having NZ Maori and you choosing Italy.

I went through the first half taking it a little easy and rounded out the half 14-0 up.
Then I let the throttle out a bit and when fulltime came it was 54-0.

Despite all that I rate you as a real improver. You knocked over Andrew Horton last night. Him having Scotland and you with the French. You won 24-12, wasn't it?

He's real eager for a rematch. He thought you'd be no challenge although you do keep improving.

Look at the big 35-14 victory you had over Amy. That was well played after the first test where she beat you by a similar margin to what you ended up beating Andrew in that 6 nations match mentioned earlier.

Keep up the progress!

54-0!!!!

......now you got me real scared !

We can only get those sort of scores when we play the no punting rule. When we play real rules it is so hard to score as everyone keeps the others as far away as possible from their try line.....

...when we play no punting rules it is a real drag out affair like league.....go forward 5 meters....go back ten...real strangle match...which my trainer normally wins.

However when it is real rules we are both waiting for the knock on or turnover mistake in the other players 22. Once that happens it is showtime. Just like real rugby!

Thanks GG, but Mono's defence isn't tight enough yet. It was in places, but he has laspes and misses some tackles in tight, (relying a little on some of the nearby cpu defenders a bit).

Also the sides we had were a little lop-sided and I'm sure he'd do a bit better with it squared up a little. He's a very fast learner though (been playing less than 3 weeks).

He'd currently be seeded about 5th amongst the people we know who play (about 9 people).

Keep up your work Mono!

My ex rang me today asking if i was going to stay over her place with the kids (I take the kids every weekend). I know what she was really asking was from my trainer as he probably wanted me to come back and play with him lol!

I await patiently for bullytheguru to ring my mobile......0800kingofrugby

Is Monoturd an outside shot at making our tournament? At this rate he'll be good enough by then - stay tuned!

You are an outside shot of making a try

:p

if the tournament is sucessful this year and if there is a tournament next year then i'll think about heading up and having a play. by that time i would have played quite a bit and mastered the "Andrew Horton kickoff"

next years torny could be anywhere, i dont think it should be held in the same place each year.

it could end up being in southland where there are more members down there o_O

who knows :)

That would be cool as I have never been down south....I heard it was a great place.....

.....also it is the place of our rugby stronghold atm........

yes it would be pretty cool to have it down here

do you guys play on xbox or ps2? because that could get messy if some people are used to one consoles controls and not the others
