I say in......International teams should have all their players available if they re eligible.

Not begging to differ, but lets face it without star players all the teams are nearly even.
Even though I do love the star players...I've gotta say,... more even without them.
For example, Crusaders without McCaw and Carter against Hurricanes without Umaga......very even. :bravo:

Update on What we have so far so we dont need to go back and check...

Super 14 and European teams only??? THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED VERY SOON - no point playing with teams if we cant use them in the comp
If both players want the same team then they toss a coin and winner chooses. then the loser gets home advantage and choice of stadium???

Location: RANDOM (unless coin loser changes it) MAJORITY
Wind: strong MAJORITY
Half Length: 10mins MAJORITY
Difficulty: Elite MAJORITY
Game set for Widescreen MAJORITY
Camera View: SIDE MAJORITY
No names, radar,numbers or stars displayed???
Player info shown - to see the turbo???

injuries: DEFAULT MAJORITY
Fatigue: DEFAULT MAJORITY
Drop goals: NORMAL MAJORITY
No penalty kick attempts from beyond 60m MAJORITY
No Early tackles(hitting man without the ball) MAJORITY
Every match will have a referee watching and to make decisions based on the penalty *guidelines below ???
*Penalties for Early Tackles as follows:
-if the offence is in the attackers 22 then the offender should take the ball out at half way.
-if the offence in is the attackers 22-halfway then the offender should take the ball out on his 22 metre line
-if the offence is anywhere in the offenders own half then the offender should take the ball out on his own 5 metre line.
In regards to a person appealing randomly for an early dive tackle in an attempt to slow the game down when it just looks like a clean hit:
-appeal justified then judgement against the offender as above
-appeal rejected then early tackle penalty rule reversed against the appealer. If offence is on own goaline 3 ruck advantages are given to the other player before the 5 metre take the ball out rule is enforced or even earlier if a third ruck does not eventuate, unless a try or drop goal is scored.

How even the teams are is going to be an important issue. Whatever the answer, I want this part of the tourney to be fair to all.

My thought on teams is that they should be reset to default on all xboxes prior to the tournament starting.
Then when you choose your team each game you can make as many subs from your 39??? strong squad into your starting lineup and bench.
And yes i think stars should allowed. (if you choose a weak team then thats your choice) and if you both want the same team then toss a coin like in the above setout rules so far.
Big question to confirm is - is the tournament gonna be European and Super 14 teams only?

Cool 30 it is - do you have an opinion on the teams and making lineup changes before match starts? and if just Euro and S14 teams?

Obviously if there is an appeal step 1 is to pause the game immediately to state your case, allowing replay to be viewed...

Well, if star players are in then I want Internationals. If they aren't I want Clubs.
The only point I'm trying to make about clubs with star players is that there'll be no diversity if they are left in. Crusaders/Toulouse and a few other big guns will be all that is played as we'll all want the best teams we can.
Without those star players, it evens out a lot (particularly the Super 14).

I agree.....International star players....clubs no stars
Personally I would rather play Internationals.....the top tier players in the world doing their stuff.
Also I personally would like the players for Internationals to be selected from anyne who is in the default country pool from squad management. There are some very good players who are not in the play now list but are legit countrymen. Not "star" payers but very good nevertheless.
My own personal preferences.......what are yours?

Sounds like internationals will be the way. At least then we'll be able to play as New Zealand, Australia, England, France, South Africa, Ireland, Wales and maybe even the British Lions.
Those sides can all play well against each other (with maybe the exception of Ireland and Wales who won't go well against a side better than maybe France and Australia)

...hmmmmmmm....
...not a default team (turn on XBox) nor are they in the International category (they are Representative). If they were a default team then I would be playing them and trying them out with my mate as opposition.....but I have never had that chance with a default ready to go Xbox and we don't want to watse our time in single mode unlocking them to play.....if that is possible.
Otherwise only those who have "unlocked" stuff will have an advantage.....I don't even know what teams there are to unlock in the first place! If we had to do that then nobody would play multiplayer for a couple of months...we would all be in single mode trying to unlock "something".......single player mode is not good prep for a multiplayer comp.

Yeah....one star player in a club can seriously deal to a whole club by himself....seen it happen all the time.
Which leaves you only with 5 clubs that are playably competitive.....and 3 of them would not cut it worldwide in the real world.
