Transfers rumours

As much as I love Lood he's been incredibly bad value for money - think when you work out his salary vs number of appearances we're paying something stupid like £70k per game so far

With Hill coming in, the Du Preez's and a few others plus Groves, i feel you are fairly well stocked. Maybe even able to pick up a decent player one of the other clubs can't include.

Personally the difference Lood makes especially to the line out is crazy IF he can stay fit the rest of season I would even say he might be key if sale are to make the play offs.

True, but you'd imagine that Hill will go some way towards solving that next season.

Yeah, with Beaumont out he's the only lineout specialist in our squad (JP technically is but that's just cause he's tall, he's not particularly nuanced)
Hill will definitely be needed (and hopefully Beaumont will be back...at some point)

Hill been impressive recently but Lood really has been starting to get back to his best, he was the first lock i've seen cause Tigers issues with the lineouts (And that's with Montoya throwing)

TRP rumours
Scotland trying to capture Henry Arundell
Wesley White (Jake Whites son playing for Jersey) is a target for Bath
Falcons looking at Tian Schoeman
Diamond looking for Forwards mentions Eastern Europeans and South Africans (Worcester fans seem to think the du Preez twins might be one or some SA internationals which I doubt they have the budget for)
Japanese teams looking at Radradra
Calum Bradley to Saints, Lomani to Irish, Phipps to Top 14

Scotland can just F off. As we've covered ad nauseum - develop your own fricking players and stop this race to the bottom of trying to cap players who've played a handful of senior games (currently 1 or 2 for Arundell). D!ckheads.

I'm not suggesting they're capping them just to 'capture' them, but I strongly object to them sniffing around any promising player with a dubious Scottish connection as soon as they've made a first team appearance. It's genuinely an embarrassment and a blight on the sport IMO.

I find it laughable that they're constantly telling us how they hate anything or anyone English … oh, unless they have a Scottish granny.

It's making use of their limited resources.

It's better than these project signings.

At least they don't restrict players by clubs after.
So for example Sale can still keep Ashman

Maybe … but at least the project guys aren't being pressured in to making a career-defining decision at 20.

What pressure?
They can either say they will or won't it's not like they are contracted
There's massive pressure tbh, not only would most of them play for England if they had the opportunity (probably considering many show no Scottishness beforehand) and the pride that comes with that but also the huge financial implications of that decision

It's not all doom and gloom. The Scots exiled in England like Hogg, Gray, VDM etc. help prop up English Premiership rugby on so called 6N rest weekends while other home nations can actually rest their players or have extended training sessions.

I mean why can't players just say no?
Kelly did it with Ireland
Lynagh did it with Aus and Italy

Yeah, they're 20 years old. Most people want players to be tied by u20s anyway and if Scotland don't use them they'll be available again at 24 anyway.

If they really want to play for England, as you say, just refuse the call up, it's happened countless times.

I'm far from convinced on this point - but don't know how to make a poll to check the board's opinion.
