Transfers rumours

Not officially confirmed, yet, but local paper saying JJ has signed a 2 year extension at Bath

That's another great retainment by Bath - they must be buying in the future that JvG is selling them

Still a year on his contract, so if Worcester want to buy it out, considering his injury history, as much as I love the guy....go for it

I reckon Dimes will be on the blower to pretty much every Sale forward that is/is near to being out of contract

Why would they have to buy out his contract?
How many people have left this year with another season on their contracts? Pretty much every covid contract has clauses on the whole.

We had to buy out Schonerts contract
I suppose players could've had it written in during covid negotiations, but it's definitely been a thing in the past

Plus we might want to offload considering he's only played 20 odd times in the last three seasons - I imagine part of it comes down to how hard a club wants to retain a player/if they think other clubs would pay for the privilege

They may be happy to let him go. To reallocate his salary and if he comes hit the gamble pays off for Wuss as they should get him for a good price.

Could be wrong but thought he signed his contract pre covid

Will be interesting to see the budget dimes gets to play with.

Considering he's talking about the east term European countries already don't see it being much still.

He's also said he won't be paying over the odds for players just to convince them to play for Worcester which definitely suggests Eastern European/Curry Cup level players who want to play in the top flight
Still a lot of good players in those tiers, but will require some polishing to get them up to standard

Worcester remind me a bit of Sale pre Orange.

I'd rather not due to the injuries. We already have players such as Owen Williams who have the breaking strain of a wet rich tea

Diamond saying Worcester is close to signing a highly regarded English Hooker
Maybe Langdon, if we manage to get Ashman locked into a new contract?

Thacker would be interesting but I can't see it from Dimes
Yeah, he's the exact opposite of the kind of forward Dimes likes - then again he signed Akker, who is like South African Thacker but beefed up a bit, so who knows
