Transfers rumours

Not really a great loss. He's spent most of his time at Tigers injured and hasn't really impressed when he played. I'd much rather see that game time going to Martin and Chessum for example.

Rumours
Daily Mail
  • Antony Watson set to stay at bath for another season, has a final year clause (Guess same as Genge and Ford did)
  • Ollie Lawrence and Ted Hill have also said they will be at Worcester next season and also had/have exit clauses
  • Leicester Tigers looking at Scarlets Vice Captain Steff Hughes
  • Nathan Hughes is yet to agree a contract with Bristol
Rugby Paper
  • Munster looking at Kidney
  • Bears looking at Scotland International Hooker George Turner
  • Worcester keen on Kyle Cooper
  • Ulster keen on Kitshoff (No way that happens with his contract currently)
  • Creevy looking to Bayonne
  • Hill to Sale, Skinner to Edinburgh Scott Cummings to Exeter

Some curious rumours in there. If Exeter can't keep Skinner because of the cap, I'm surprised they can afford Cummings who is a first choice for Scotland.

George Turner has really established himself at test level recently and can't be cheap either. Hughes might be off, but with Genge already incoming, Bristol are really going to have to do some serious pruning to fit under the cap.

Steff Hughes would be a very decent signing. Probably one of the best uncapped Welsh players and no point restricting himself to playing in Wales when he's being ignored.

Kidney has done a great job at London Irish IMO. These days they are a very competitive side with a solid and reliable squad and play attractive rugby. He'd be a big loss if he goes to Munster, although I'd assume Les Kiss would just step up?

I guess from Exeter POV he would be replacing Hill more than Skinner and tbf he's a better player than Skinner (Who is still being picked by Scotland) also cummings is younger

Hill is a lion who is around 3 years older than Cummings so will be wanting a lot more money than him. Unless he's suddenly is from Manchester and is going to take a massive pay cut just to play in the theatre of dreams aka AJ bell and it's 1K attendance.

Not like Exeter get academy credits for him either

Apparently Bath are in talks with our SA scrum half Louis Schreuder. After a slow start he really came good. It would be a shame...however we have 3 cracking young kids who are ready to play now. Kelemeti is playing quite regularly already this season and Blackett looks a gem.

So maybe Dean wont be overly concerned.

Worcester also linked with Kyle Cooper...our SA hooker who is converting to a LH prop.

Probably fair to say Cooper has now made the switch full time. I don't remember the last time he played hooker?

he has BPM, but i wouldnt say it has been particularly successful.

I think if Worcester came in and said we'll play you at hooker....he would join them. Worcester would be getting a good aggressive mobile front rower...whos an excellent carrier.

Yeah - perhaps. Still looks good in the loose, but doesn't look so hot in the scrum. Might be a good move for everyone given you have Brantingham who should be breaking through soon enough.

Brantingham is the one everyone is talking about...but we have a young LH at Doncaster (Conrad Cade ,24) . He was one of the best in the champs last season...and he could be one of those consistent unflashy players you want in your side. We shall see.
