Transfers rumours

Haha, have you been reading Shedweb?

Some "exciting" news for Glos fans tomorrow morning. I reckon it's a Morgan contract extension.

Better for England if he leaves tbh then Gareth Evans can get some game time or even Ross Moriarty both got a lot of potential imo

Meh, it's a long season and you need a few options to rotate through. I think that we can rotate quite happily between Kalamafoni, Moriarty, Evans, Morgan and Kvesic as our main players. Moriarty and Evans can switch between 6/8 as required. If one has to leave so that the others can get more game time, I'd let Kalamafoni go.

I'm more interested to see what will happen in a few years when our other academy players come through. Our academy backrow supplies are ridiculous:
Dan Thomas (21, used to be a part of Wales U20s)
Lewis Ludlow (20, recently finished with England U20s)
Joe Batley (current England U20s)
Sam Underhill (18, just finished with England U18s, was the captain)
Will Safe (18, just finished with England U18s)

Just... why can't we produce a good prop? :(

Saints need to look for a new gain line breaking 8, personally I hope we are looking at Fonua. Race is on Tigers as we know you are interested in Opeti as well!

According to someone on the Sale forum Freddie Michalak has signed an extension at Toulon, so would that mean that Cipriani will stay at Sale for one more year now?

Even BBC now has an article on Priestland moving to Bath. Priestland has also said there will be an announcement on his future this week.

I have to say, I'm not getting this signing at all. Ford as first choice, Henson and Devoto as other options. It's actually a decent position for Bath in terms of quality and depth. How do you keep both Priestland and Ford happy? Will they rotate, or will Ford stay as first-choice? And why sign another international as your second-choice? It just means losing two players at the same time in the same position.

Priestland has apparently had a few good games recently, so at least they have a chance of getting a decent player out of this. But I just think that Bath has a lot of other positions that they would be better focusing on. 1, 4, 8, 9 and 15 surely need more attention than 10? Why waste so much of your budget on a relatively strong position?

I suppose Bath don't have any specialist fly-halves beyond Ford. Still, I'd be looking at signing a non-international if I were Bath.

Not going to lie I would have gone for a older fly half like Hodgson or Goode. Ford is still young so great for his development and during international games you still have a great player at the club.

Priestland is effectively retiring from international rugby - he won't be away during the international windows.

Might be a good player, but he's a thoroughly underwhelming signing tbh.
