Transfers 2015/16

Mid-season move for Tom Isaacs (Gloucester -> Cardiff Blues)

Baden Kerr (Ex Auckland blues 10) has signed for Sarries but will be out on loan to Bedford 6 months prior, so basically he will be at sarries covering @ 10 during the WC.

Because the championship has no cap Bedford will be paying for Kerr's cap instead of sarries, therefore sarries will not have to worry about going over this season.

You follow?

Oh yeah I got that, sorry I was just really shocked that it has happened!

I swear he was named in the Blues squad. But clearly not!

Baden Kerr ----> Sarries (spending 6 months on loan to Bedford before hand).

Good pickup.

It's a bit of a shame as the guys a young talent, but I guess with so many young 10s coming through, and missing out on a SR contract this year, his best bet is to head overseas. Could well be eligible for England in three years time...

He should absolutely tear it up for Bedford. It's a bit unfair recently.

I guess he's just been unlucky with injuries. I think he got a bad knock at the start if last season and that meant the Blues had to play Hickey and bring in West and suddenly he was fourth choice when Noakes was fit.

Finely one comes the other way considering you nicked 5 players from us.Isnt he a hooker cause we've got a lot injured.

Yeah but it's on loan. Which probably means that if he's good, Bath will keep him, if he's bad, you can have him. :p

They'll probably release him - we all know Bath doesn't like developing their own players, just buying everyone else's ;)

Other clubs make it easy by being based in such wonderlands as Salford and Reading. ;)

Not sure if it's been said yet but Tom Marshall Chiefs ----> Gloucester

Interesting signing, certainly an above average player who at 24 has a lot of rugby ahead of him. Bit weird to see him give up being in the ABs so early (but may have an English grandmother I don't know about <_<). Not my favorite player for the Chiefs in any of his preferred positions, but still a handy player to have..

He does have English grandparents, yes. :p

Although I suspect the significance (and the significance of all these players who are coming out with English grandparents) is more that he counts as an EQP for Gloucester, so we're not closer to breaking this rule by playing him:

The rule on foreign players has been amended to come into line with the regulations in European competitions. A maximum of two foreign players can now be on the pitch at any one time, at all periods during the season.
