Transfers 2014/15

Ryan Mills (Gloucester) --> Worcester
Matt Cox (Gloucester) --> Worcester

Agreed with Peat your months behind but to add in they have 3 Irish starters there already in O'Leary Humphreys and Sheridan. And well Court while being an Irish international is Australian
Mulchrone too I think? Dunno where Hagan ranks.

CJ Stander is staying with Munster until 2016. Cuffed, I really rate him and I hope we use him properly. I'm surprised he stayed to be honest, thought he might go to Leister or Ulster

Was always staying. Jean-Marie is comfortable to based in UL as she aims for Rio 2016. Duncan Casey too has signed on and watch out for him as he has potential to be a super hooker. Also this means after World Cup CJ will be allowed play for Ireland.
Munster now with a super selection next year POM Coughlan TOD Dougall Stander DOCv2 Butler Copeland will all be competing

"But it does raise the embarrassing possibility that without an agreement between the warring factions the WRU could be faced with having to loan Warburton to a Premiership side to ensure he continues playing top-flight rugby." ESPN

Really?! How much truth is there in this? No problem with Warburton playing in the AP. But what if he doesn't want to? And is just trying to do the right thing for club and country, but could end up the one missing out due to the fault of others.

Was not too sure where to post this, but felt here was applicable as any due to contracts being signed.

As a rugby fan, this makes me worried and nervous for our game. Not the fact that central contracts are being introduced, if done properly, no reason it might work. But the a*se about face and embarrassingly public amateur arguments going on across the Europe debate and now the domestic game too.

Rugby is becoming a more and more professional business environment. Any sport that grows as a business will naturally grow in economic scale too. But it needs to be managed professionally and ethically. ERC, PRL, RRW, WRU and others, are only appearing as bumbling amateurs acting in short sighted and reactionary ways.

I really hope for a positive result from all of this debacle. A great domestic game in all our nations, and a top quality European wide competition that is envied and sought after by all.

(Sorry for the rant - feel a bit better now)

I have the upmost respect for Warburton and he's completed this deal with the best intentions, as it seems Priestland might this week as well.

The problem is, the WRU said CCs weren't possible not all that long ago. In the face of this argument they've about faced with the Participation Agreement deadline just a short while away. Why not wait until that is sorted so we can move on? They've put no structure in place with the regions for both pay, playing time, attached region, training time etc. On the face of it it looks very much like they are gaining leverage, whether that is true or not. I'd like to think they are trying to move things along, but their other statements and approach hasn't ever been co-operative, its been authoritative. I am on no side here (before I get an onslaught of comments), I am just trying to analyse why this relationship is where it is. Both parties need to move discussions along so solutions like CC's can be made.

Hah! And I remember Irish posters saying last year that Stander's 'development player' status meant nothing.

He was never listed as a development player ever in Munster. A project player is totally different thing and is to do with national team more than Munster. But he has to develop defense as he admits himself but will improve when he gets near peak of his powers

Regards CJ his stats in A team are ridiculous and he's been best ball carrier in B&I cup by 157metres. His defense still a bit off where he wants it to be but he will be a super player and still young but I certainly believe he will be a starter in next 12 months

With O'Mahony, O'Donnell and Copeland he will have to improve a lot.

You need it and we have depth:

@6 - POM Stander DOCv2 Butler
@7 Stander Dougall TOD
@8 Coughlan Copeland Butler POM Stander

And crazy thing is it's an area we have strength coming through

Tavis Knoyle (Gloucester) -> Cardiff Blues

Rumour is that Callum Braley (Bristol) is replacing him.

Definitely a tidy signing I'd true! Badly need another good no.9 in Cardiff, hopefully will push Lloyd Williams to regain some form and for both to break back into the Wales squad

Marland Yarde supposedly turned down a £300k contract from London Irish to sign for Quins.
