Transfers 2014/15

That's interesting. I guess Ulster reckon they're going to need another 10 with Jackson away on international duty. Also with Paddy Wallace retiring they could do with another older head in the inside backs.

Has Humphreys been first choice at Irish this season? If so it's a very odd move for him.

Think that is main reason. Pienaar has supposedly said he just wants to be 9 and well without Jackson their options at 10 are bare. Paddy Wallace gone and Marshall (who's another "10" option) is gone to camps too

Armitage is better in attack no doubt, but halfpenny is superior in positioning in defence and with the boot. He was simply superb for the Lions at the back, was exactly where he had to be and collected every Aussie kick. I think with the likes of Mitchell and Habana with him, he could put them in some great positions to run a counter.

mm not really they're 7th and they i think will have a good squad next year im sure off it

Actually they're 8th, with Connacht just 2 points behind them. The future XV posted is better than the current Connacht, so not exactly a stretch of the imagination to see them overtake Edinburgh. Have Edinburgh managed to bring in the same sort of signings for next year?

Pretty happy about IHumps return! Sure he is a bit topsy turvy with the form but he has a cracking boot in terms of distance and I reckon is a much better attacking running ten. Not too bad at kicking out of hand either.
Just a shame the man isn't a decent tackler but he can really turn on the pace

mmmmm, highly debatable...

Newport Gwent Dragons sign a prop under the age of 30! Lloyd Fairbrother of Exeter Chiefs is Newport-bound. Anybody who has a twitter name of CornishBarrel is going to be good value, right?

Not New Zealands strongest area. Wasn't probably going to play in the RWC but would still been a useful option.

Darren Edwards: Dragons --> Bath

As an attack coach... any good?

Gavin Duffy --> Mayo Senior football panel

Apparently being looked at in the forward line. Was also meant to be a real talent at minor level.

(This is Gaelic Football for the uninitiated.)

Yep said this few weeks ago here. Supposedly he's the missing link and a tall fetcher in Full Forward or Midfield.
Rumoured also to be looked at as a replacement for EOS at Garryowen. Eddie has joined Biarritz as Head Coach

Dan Bowden ----> Auckland blues after a stint in Japan. Wife wanted to go back to NZ brilliant skilful player whose defensive has improved IMO hugely since joining tigers, tackle on o'connor a highlight of mine.

Interesting!

He was always a tad limited back in New Zealand but he looked good for Irish! I never really got to see him play for Leicester. Curious that the Blues have signed him in the centres they have relatively good depth - so he must be seen as a 1st 5/8th...
