Transfers 2014/15

Interesting move for Harry Robinson.

Also Danny Wilson, the current Scarlets forwards coach, is leaving to join Bristol. Shame, he seems to have made a huge impact to the Scarlets forwards in a short time frame.

Happy about that, its all well and good in building a squad on pitch if you dont have the coaches off it and with Robinson, Holley and now Wilson I think we have that. Also, something I didn't know was he and I share a grassroots club. Hornets RFC in Weston-S-Mare.

Gloucester looked good for this season TBH.
Yeah but this year they look like they are getting a real pack and the half backs look interesting
1.not sure if i'm honest 2.Hibbard 3.Afoa 4.Galarza 5.Savage 6.Kalamafoni 7.Kvesic 8.Morgan 9.Cowan 10.Laidlaw

Really?
apart from hibbard and afoa they've taken a chance on all of their signings - they could turn out to be diamonds in the rough, or they might not be up to prem standard.

Afoa, Hibbard, Galarza, Laidlaw and Isaacs are all too me pretty decent. The problem they have is that their scrum is ****e so bringing in a Tighthead, Hooker and big lock and it looks too me that the scrum will be a area of strength, the backs are brilliant and now they can afford to have 2 or 3 injuries and have a player who can step in and do a job. Plus my assumption is that they are getting in a loosehead and Fly- Half

Forgot about Laidlaw - don't think that Isaacs is much of a replacement for Tindall, though.
They need new coaches, specifically defence (now that they've got a scrum coach) as leaking 5 at home vs Newcastle is terrible.

It does help if you actually have a coach who understands that sometimes you have to defend :p But you will see the defence improve tenfold when the scrum isn't going back against every other pack. They also need a smart 10 who will put them in the right area's of the pitch if he was available Hodgson would be great for them can play when it's on and kick when it isn't. Goosen is a genuine possibility but RM92 want him, is there a 10 available for them to get ?

Isaacs is international window cover honestly. When Jonathan Spratt starts over you, something is up.

Is Isaacs that bad ? He is pretty quick and looks solid on defence but I haven't seen much more than youtube clips and a game against Leicester when he stood up pretty well.

I can't see Gloucester getting in more players unless some more are going?

At FH they have ales Thomas, billy burns and jonny beantley.

At out side centre they have trinder, isaacs, jonny may, Shane Monahan and JSD.

Loose head they have wood, murphy & tanning Thomas.

Where do they have space for more signings?

If they don't sign another 10 then they're crazy. BB has bags of potential, but is very very young, and Aled/Bentley are good cover but the only real starting quality 10 (if, as walkinshaw claims, they're destined for the top 4) is Laidlaw - who doesn't want to play 10.

I thought wood was I tighthead ? but even so Walkinshaw said they will have the best front row in the prem so they need a loosehead, and the 10's there are not want you want pushing for top 4. Northampton should have got a better 10 before, though myler is playing well at the moment, if they had say Nick Evans they would have a few more trophies. The 10 is so important and he is the player who wins you games or loses them.

Nah, Wood's a loosehead - they really do need to look at signing a better one, though. His form has dropped wwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyy off this year (new engagement rules perhaps?).

Allegedly Glaws spent no time training under the new scrummaging laws before the start of the season.
