Transfers 2014/15

Jerome Schuster Leicester ------> worcester until the end of the season

How exactly are Gloucester affording all this under the salary cap, too?
Afoa is their marquee player, but Laidlaw won't come cheap (priced himself out of being our marquee player and also out of all the french sides but Perpignan), Hamilton will be on wedge despite being an old boy, Hibbard won't have come cheap.
Simple: Glos are completely rebalancing the money spent around the squad, in addition to the salary cap increase.

These players have announced they have retired/will retire/are leaving/have left:
Tim Molenaar (left mid-season)
Akapusi Qera (left mid-season)
Olly Morgan (retired mid-season)
Freddie Burns
Will James
Andy Hazell
Ryan Mills
Matt Cox
Tavis Knoyle
Jonny Bentley (just gone to Leeds on loan, only on one-year contract, so looks like he'll be leaving)

Also out of contract:
Rupert Harden
Jimmy Cowan
Tim Taylor
Huia Edmonds
Mike Tindall
Dan George
Lua Lokotui
Martyn Thomas
Thomas Young

I reckon maybe a couple of those out of contract will be given a contract. But most will leave.

Also, I can't know for certain, but I have a feeling that JSD is going to be on reduced terms next season.

tbh, I think Glos have enough salary cap room to bring in more big names. One to replace Burns. One to replace Qera (in another area of the squad). Another couple under the salary cap increase. etc.

Most people just type Logo for mulipola. He plays both sides of the scrum regularly just last season he covered LH due to the fact we had Cole and Castro. when he played for Hawke's Bay he propped both sides and played number 8.

by December the front row depth chart looked like this.

Ayerza, Logo, stanko, Bristow, Schuster
Youngs, Hawkins, Thacker/Briggs (on parr by the looks of things Thacker on the bench vs wuss been away with England since)
Cole, Logo, Balmain, Pasquali/Schuster

Happy with that signing tbh probably means ed shervington is leaving though

Alan Dell(prop, Natal), Simon Berghan(prop, Crusaders Knights), Damian Hoyland (winger, Melrose), Nick McLennan (fullback, Hawke's Bay)
Moray Low (prop, Exeter)

This is incorrect - Low is moving from Glasgow - Not Edinburgh

Also:
Ben Cairns - Edinburgh - Retired
Steve Lawrie - Edinburgh - Retired

The BBC say he has gone there as a nine who can cover ten. However I've learnt not the trust the beeb when it comes to rugby. For my money its the other way round. I expect he'll be on a high salary so I doubt Glos can afford to bring in another ten, or at least not another established one. Also with Robson playing so well (and Cowan maybe staying?) I think he'll be a ten who can switch to nine if needed.

What that means for Scotland is another matter.

well hopefully this will mean that scotland will pick him for a 10 spot and put cusiter in the starting line up but i really didn't want to see our captain go :(

Glos have the money to pay up to the salary cap plus marquee, and there are enough outgoings plus the salary cap increase, to allow for a few big signings yet. Nearly up to half the squad may find themselves leaving the club, so it gives a lot of opportunity to bring in big players.
