Future touring schedule:

6. Last ever game (Mitsubishi Dynoboars)

7. Last ever game (Brad Thorn like deal with the Ospreys)

8. Last ever game (another Barbarians game vs the Lions in Hong Kong)

I could realistically see that happening

Agreed, is he not playing with Martyn Williams for the Asian Barbarians against Saracens in Hong Kong also?

Jim Thomson (Edinburgh) off to London Scottish according to Edinburgh Rugby facebook.

According to this link, Ceri Sweeney has signed for a Russian side Krasny Yar

http://www.ihpu.canterburyrugby.co.nz/news/2012/115-to-russia-with-love

Along with Morland and Horton, Krasny Yar looks to have scored a massive coup by signing former Welsh No 10 Ceri Sweeney for the upcoming season, although the deal has not yet been finalised. Sweeney played 35 tests from 2003-07, including appearances at the '03 and '07 World Cups. However, he may now be relied upon more heavily at the Cardiff Blues after the club's decision to sack Gavin Henson with immediate effect following his alcohol-fuelled misconduct on a recent flight from Glasgow to Cardiff.

the Krasny Yar Wikipedia page also says they have signed Sinoti Sinoti from Aironi and Tom Riley from the Dragons

but I couldn't find any other sources for that though

Taylor Paris Canada's young 7's phenom has just signed with Glasgow warriors.

Great news for young Taylor!!

Rupeni Caucaunibuca has signed for Carcassonne (Pro D2)

and Horacio Agulla has signed for Bath according to The Rugby Paper

Great signing for Bath, if true. Him and Biggs will be a great partnership, Nd will mean Banahan will be centre or nothing.
Cockerill will be kicking himself if he does go there and really performs.

In fairness, I think Cockerill would have liked to keep him. The amount of time active Rugby Championship players will be missing during the season for effectively put a kibosh on it though, and I'm slightly surprised Bath have taken up that same problem.

I think tigers could easily have coped, if they really wanted to/tried. I know Cockers did want to keep hold, but they've got the cash and the depth to cover until he was back if they wanted.

Possibly. The salary cap is a harsh mistress. He'll certainly be useful to have around when he is available.

You act as if the tigers have a salary cap!
I'm sure they'd suddenly discover he's a genius at tractors and CAT would get him a job, if they delved a bit deeper ;)

You think Banahan wouldn't start?

I know he is rather rubbish, but he has a bigger reputation and is an international so I would be surprised if he didn't start for Bath.

The Argentine players will be unavailable just as much as other international players though, and Leicester seem happy to keep Castro and Cole

The Argentines will miss September, and be back for the second round of the Heineken Cup, and the rest of October and then unavailable for November (half of which are LV Cup matches missed) and then that's it

they'll be there for the business end of the season, and miss just over two months of the British season, which is the same as any other international player playing in November and the Six Nations, so I think there's been more fuss made about it because it's a change, and coaches have previously got a good deal out of signing Argentines and them only missing November

exactly, Leicester have an All Black (Scott Hamilton) in reserve, he's better than most teams reserve winger/full back, and also Matt Smith can cover, and I wonder whether Mathew Tait has any chance of recovering or whether he's headed to a sad injury enforced early retirement

Leicester could have kept him (and indeed have retained Ayerza)

Banahan will probably be in the centres *yuck*

pd - Props are important though, while wingers are bumfluff - although yes, their prop retention mystifies me. Besides, missing any HEC gametime is something of a no-no.
