A quality lock to partner Hamilton, a 6 and 9 (or tie R. Lawson down) and we're set for a big ***le challenge next year.

you also need some more strength in depth, there are quite a few injury prone players in that squad so even if the first choice side looks good on paper the reserves need to be able to fill in, the back up to your forwards and to your half backs looks a bit weak especially

Agreed to an extent. I don't think signing any more players to flesh out the depth is going to help though - we've got a lot of players good enough to cover, but not start in a top 4 team, particularly in the forwards. We need to concentrate on a few big signings and relegating players in those positions to cover these big signings. Signing a high quality lock to partner Hamilton and relegating Will James and Alex Brown to covering should solve both the depth and talent problem in the second row. Likewise, in the backrow we have Morgan and Qera as starters, Hazell, Buxton and Cox as back-ups, we're presumably going to sign a player to replace Strokosch as our starting 6, and then we would only really need one more decent player to complete our depth in the backrow. Whether we can find any players to do this is another matter...

Point taken about the half-backs though. I think we'll just about cope at scrum-half if we replace/keep Rory Lawson - Lewis is decent enough back-up and Robson will hopefully start coming through next season. But Taylor imo isn't good enough (and is out of contract in the summer), Mills is more of a center who can be used at fly-half and Burns has already said he needs a mentor, so we should probably add a fly-half to our shopping list.

Jon Clarke is set to become a worcester warrior, not a bad signing i think

I still maintain if he'd not broken his ankle he would now be one of the best in the world. The loss of pace ruined him.

For Wuss it means they finally have at least 1 good midfielder. Which is 1 more then ever previously.

Alex Grove has been playing quite well for you hasn't he, im surprised he isn't in the Scotland squad to be honest. You need someone to take Rasmussen's place though, hes been there for much too long

Year Grove been very good this season but rasmussen really needs to go he ruins our backline so much we could be quite attacking if he doesn't keep taking in to contact :/ our centres wont be too bad next season with Fatiaki starting to play well and clarke coming in its looking good

i am sad to see Clarke go and a bit worried as to what centres we are now actually going to have on the books. Just Pisi and May now

I know he was born in Lithuania, but when he was at the Sharks (KZN), his bio noted he has been capped at some level for Russia.

Do you know if that was a senior cap and is tied to the Motherland, or if he is 'Lithuanian?'

Only played a game or two for the 'A' side, and don't think he'd get near the main side, especially with Gray coming in next season, so a good move for him.

Was certainly a very big unit last time I saw him, thought he would go onto bigger things.

Still very young though I suppose.

@psychicduck, you spend your waking hours researching and learning of these things ( :p ), is there an official website for the other 6 Nations divisions like the top one? Cursory Google search doesn't reveal much...

he suffered an arm injury and was ruled out for three months which is why he hasn't played more, a good move for him, he has now travelled from Lithuania to Russia to South Africa to England and now to France all just since 2010

Sale have some good depth in lock now, so he is more likely to have success in France
