Transfers 2011/12

cant agree with that cymro
Ajuwa was good in attack but lacked a lot in defence
Him and Ifan would have been useful during the World Cup as we are lacking wingers as Lamont, Stoddart and George North are all looking likely to be on the Plane to New Zealand.
I have also seen the London Welsh news article that states Aled Thomas has left the club but it does not state where

If you pick wings based on thighs stan wright would be very much in demand.

Oh come on, he was out of his depth, as you said his defense was poor, add to that he seemed like a rabbit lost in the bright lights and rarely threatened the opposition. He was worth giving a shot but in reality he was not good enough for the Scarlets.

Yeh I thought the same really. He had all the raw elements, but ultimately looked like he'd only picked up a rugby ball for the first time a week before. I'm not sure how old he is, if he's still young then there's a possibility he could still make it as a regional quality player in a number of years, once his basic skills have improved, but if he's 25+, premiership level is where he'll reside.

He's 28 Dull, and I think he is a Premiership player as you said and no more. To be fair he finished well for Llandovery last season but this season has done nothing for any club he has played for.

Connacht have made three uderwhelming signings. Jamie Stevens is a tighthead who comes in from Galwegians, Kieran Marmion is an Ireland u19 and u20 international scrumhalf and David McSharry has signed from UCD (I think) where he plays inside centre.

Marmion is coming over from England or Wales, McSharry is coming in from Leinster and Stevens was just a club player. None were part of the Connacht setup

Paul Williams confirmed as leaving Sale,
Not announced where he's going (said his mind is on the WC and he'll announce after that, so I reckon he's going back to the SH)

dammit i think Williams was our only chance of having a decent season next year.

Hugo Southwell would be quite a good signing. A solid out and out fullback something we dont have.

I really want leicester to bring in a big name. We have already got a good team but it would be exciting to see a really top player coming, in the centres possibly.

Tigers don't need anyone in the centres though, already got Twelvetrees who's seeing very little game time and Matt Smith and Matt Tait as utility players who could fill in in case of injury
Allen/Tuilagi work very well together, no need to split them up for the sake of a marquee signing

Yeh i accept that. But i just would like to see a big name somewhere, its 100% unnecessary as we are strong in practically every position. Just a dream though, i doubt it will haooen because most players are signing on again next season apart from Hipkiss and a few others.
And also, why is there such a mass exodus from Super Rugby?

Money and chances of RWC place disappearing/already there so going t'up North to get some more wonga!

As for Leicester, do you actually need to make any more signings this year? Its a strong squad and has been topped up with some good young talent or next season. Common sense and current economy would suggest no such signing.
