Depends how much of the Chinese one works as well as it should. Let's just say there are things the Chinese have produced much cheaper and there's been a good reason why it was much cheaper. In general though breaking up any monopoly on an important industry is always good and seeing the tech bros undermined by good competition is much needed. It's just sad that it's very rarely Europe you hear that is doing the competing.

It should unless Russia has created a great AI system....but it's not created a functional Air defence system so I don't see it happening

I don't think he really believed that, he was trying to hedge his bets and butter Trump up. He knew Biden/Harris wouldn't take it personally if he praised Trump but knew Trump would seek revenge if he dared side with Biden/Harris.

Ultimately it was futile, Trump what's planned to throw Ukraine under the bus and has done so for years. No doubt Putin has played a large role in Trumps hatred of the country.

This related to before the election. But yes I don't think Trump ever gave a flying monkeys about Ukraine. He's gonna throw them under the bus and claim he's ending the war as promised. Just leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth that he does it this way and Putin gets what he wants.

TBF I don't see how it ends otherwise. Ukraine will always have Russia on their doorstep regardless of what happens.

Trump announcing 3 way talks to end the conflict.. As usual no European nation at the table. This is what happens when you are feeble on the world stage, you get ignored and sidelined.

The EU has the largest economy in the world, the war is happening rugby on their borders and yet nobody seems to think they need to have any presence at peace talks. Tis is what happens when Europe is divided and can't speak with 1 voice, just like the cold war.
