The Official Gavin Henson Thread

Henson's attitude stinks.Someone with his ability should have about 80 caps by now.Getting involved with Church was the worst thing that could have happened to him.Such talent, but such a waste.

Agree, sadly. Injuries haven't helped but he really set himself up for all of this.

His attitude on the field and training doesn't stink at all, in fact most coaches say that hes one of the more professional. Injuries have definitely been his biggest problem similar to James Simpson-Daniel

He wasen't kicked away from Toulon without a reason ;).

Apparently he was a stinker at Saracens too (i.e. not bothering to learn his team mates names)

I half suspect he's more thick and badly advised then arrogant.

I strongly feel that you are correct.
He is actually a nice guy, but very shy and quiet, almost like a kid in some ways. I just think he is rather immature in some respects.
Gatland has said that he was fully dedicated in Poland, so I'll give him another chance.

Anyone got views on how he played in his first match for Cardiff?

Yea i watched the game he looked very good. You couldn't really tell that he'd been out of the game for so long. Definitely proved his doubters wrong. And he was kicking out of hand again which he couldn't do in 08/09 because of his calves.
With Roberts possibly out injured we could see him at 12 next week.

Took him a while to get warmed up (first pass went way past the receiver and into touch) but, as above, put in a solid performance.
Would be good to see him at 12 next week

Solid. Not spectacular. Seemed to have loads of time and space on the ball.

Didn't see much of the game, but from what I saw and what I read he was solid. He looked to be effortless in his running and passing! Hope he'll get a run next game to get a bit more urgency and match fitness. Looking forward lots.

Well, he made it through 80 minutes unscathed.
Probably going to start at IC next week. I can actually cheer for him then.

gotta laugh at this one , both Bod and Darcy were like little kids when paying henson in 2005 , Bod in particular was like a mini tait!!! but so much more petulant.
BOD was considered by many to be the best centre in the world in 2005 ! Slagging off BOD is not cool, he's quality !
