2/3 good film messes up ending by becoming a synopsis rather than film Villeneuve was right to split it into 2 films to give it time to breathe.

Everyone knows the Blade Runner films aren't worth re-watching. Once you watch the 132 different versions you know the 'twists'.
Space balls now that's a sci-fi film.
Closely followed by the newer Battlestar Galactica tv series.

Yeah it's weird with all the Space Marine stuff it seems like an easy win. There must be some reason other than costs as to why.I just want them to make a good 40k movie
I don't know that a movie would get that far, I wouldn't trust it to be anything but generic action and too light on the more interesting and darker elements.
If they could get Dan Abnett and / or Graham McNeill on board to write a Horus Heresy TV series I'd be pretty happy. Probably never happen though.

In November of 2024 it was confirmed the series will take place in 2120, making the film set 27 years after Prometheus (2012) set in 2093, 16 years after Alien: Covenant (2017) set in 2104, two years before the events of the original film Alien (1979) which takes place in 2122, 17 years before the hit video game Alien: Isolation (2014) set in 2137, 22 years before the latest film Alien: Romulus (2024) set in 2142, 59 years before Aliens (1986) & Alien³ (1992) which both take place in 2179, and 261 years before Alien: Resurrection (1997) which takes place in 2381.
It's also been confirmed by Noah Hawley that the events of the prequels Prometheus (2012) & Alien: Covenant (2017) will largely be ignored.
