The Movie Thread

i have never hated a film without seeing it as much as i have done with the new ghostbusters film.

1) Can't stand Feig
2) Can't stand McCarthy
3) What is the point?
4) Crap Trailers, Crap Graphics by the looks of it, Crap jokes,

And now the worse thing of all:

But
I like Hemsowrth
and i love Wiig

Cant agree more about this movie. Its pure ****. I happened to be watching Graham Norton last night and he had those 4 women on it.... initially I couldnt even figure out why they were on or who they were.... Soon as I realised Ghostbusters.... Instantly changed the channel in disgust.

I just saw all the DC previews as well. DC generally make better TV shows, and Marvel the better movies, but it looks like they're catching up.
Also, just to wet your appetites, there's a new movie coming out soon.
This is the 'musical trailer'.....

Guy Ritchie does 'Sword in the stone'. How did I not know this was in production? (will there be 'dags'?)

Watched the Dads Army film. Disappointed, they got the look right but that was about it. Take my advice, if youre after Dads Army, stick to the TV series from back in the day, far better

From the Comic-Con trailers what I'm most excited to see are:
1. Justice League - I didn't enjoy MoS or BvS but this looks like they've hit the right note between being dark while still being fun. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Affleck as Batman and Ezra Miller seems like he's going to be very good as the Flash (as much as I love Grant Gustin as TV Flash). I'm also very excited to see more of Mamoa as Aqua Man, he just seems badass.
2. Sherlock Season 4 - To be completely honest the trailer didn't appeal to me too much, it looks like they're going down a more action packed route which, for Sherlock, I'm not a fan of. However, it's Cumberbatch and Freeman as Holmes and Watson. That's enough to get me pumped for when it comes out.
3. The Flash Season 3 - Season 2 was hugely disappointing. However the creation of Flashpoint at the end was a highlight. It meant that season 3 was either going to be amazing or crap, depending on what the creators did with it. It looks like it's going to be the amazing route. I'm very excited for it, Season 1 was my favourite season of Super Hero TV (Except maybe Jessica Jones). If it can get back to its pre-Zoom routes then it will be great.

Special Mention. Suicide Squad - Suicide Squad is probably what I'm most excited for, but I didn't put it on the list as the Comic-Con trailer didn't do anything to enhance my anticipation for it. It looks incredible though.

Watched Deadpool last night. So good, really fits my sense of humour, I like a 4th wall joke

Agreed. Breaking of the 4th wall has almost become a cliche nowadays, but Deadpool did it spectacularly well.

Love to see what Joss Whedon could do with a Deadpool 2 though.

Also, recently watched 'Scott Pilgrim vs The World' again. Love that movie.

Done well 4th wall breaks is a great comedic device. Loved the references to other films and films Ryan Reynolds (who Im supremely jealous of) has done, liked the dig at the Green Lantern. I feared going into is it would be too over the top and silly but it had the balance between a normal comedy and/or action film with a parody film.

Only aspect I didnt like is the bartender but thats more to do with the actor, he always has theses OTT crude characters and Ive never found any of them funny.

Love Ryan Reynolds as an actor, but he was sooooo much the wrong choice for GL when Nathan Fillion is around.

Ryan's 'isp' ads are great, but I think the radio version of Alec Baldwins are the best.

Not going to spoil the first 'hearing' of it. (It's basically the same as the TV, but with one added part(which you never ever ever ever imagined you'd hear))

Watch the animated film Green Lantern First Flight. Basically everything the live action film should of been including Fillion as Hall Jordan.

Original 'Running man' on TV at the moment, which brings into question something else.
Has Colin Farrel been in any movie that hasn't been ruined by him or the remake?

Seven Psychopaths, quite liked Fright Night. Haven't seen it but Lobster seems to be well reviewed.
