The Movie Thread

Saw Battleship today.

Freakin' awesome movie. Lots of explosions, lots of aliens in battle suits, lots of noise. Plus these two;

Whats not to like

Funny you should ask what's not to like about Battleship, sir, as I happen to have the answer: The film, that's what. It's dire, boring tosh of the lowest order. I've seen some rubbish this year, (This Means War, Bel Ami and John Carter spring to mind) but it's the bottom of the pile by a long way. Unbelievably unoriginal, dull and just plain annoying, it's almost an achivement in itself.

Killjoy :p

Shouldn't be surprised that I find a film most "experts" hate as good when in my top 10 most hated films contain Goodfella's, Scarface, Trainspotting and other such "classics"

Absolutely outstanding film with an equally outstanding soundtrack.

Battle Los Angeles, it's so bad I'm taking a break and going to watch the 2nd half later.

It doesn't get any better.

Yep you were right, Aaron Eckhart was the only person that salvaged this from absolutely god awful levels, to just plain bad. I give it a 3.5/10, there were some OK sequences, but all in all a bland, cliched action movie. The kind of crap that makes hundreds of millions of dollars and I might have enjoyed when I was 13.
