There's a thread for the round where that might be more suited for.

I wonder has Christmas come early for Leinster???

Sexton out with concussion related injury until Feb 14. This is great in a way for Ireland as he gets a mid season break. And is banned from returning to matches until he is right which is right but hopefully this break allows him recover fully and correctly.
But with it looking like he is out of Italy game I presume Madigan is next in line. So will Joe send instructions to get him playing there and slightly force MOC in to change for benefits of province and country?

Mike Ross extended his contract to summer 2016. Good news. He's not as good as he was but his experience will be vital in helping Marty Moore and Tadhg Furlong improve. I suspect Ross will then become the scrum coach.

van Dyk was signed as emergency injury cover and played for the A team last weekend.

Barring 6, 9, arguably 12 and 15 that is our strongest fit side, a nice read hopefully a nice watch!

Ryan impressed me at 6 although he could be injured aswell come to think of it?!

True. Conan is flying it too the past few weeks. I think Ryan is out with concussion protocol from game against us.

I think that Conan is actually a pretty good shout for 6 as we need some carrying impact, with everyone else injured. Also wtf has happened to Reddan? And why is Boss being picked ahead of McGrath?

The lad was knocked out last match!

Conan's carrying is something we need especially with Murphy not being fully up to speed yet.

Also don't forget that's not our best available 10 ;). Seriously that 9-10-12 axis has me pretty worried for our wingers.

The lack of noise about Reddan and Reid is annoying.

I saw him at Sandymount dart station this afternoon with the missus. Wearing a nice Leinster duffle coat.

He's better at tactical kicking which immediately should make him MO'C's no. 1, although he struggles in the throwing intercepts and giving away tries in other amateur fashions aspect of his game which the gaffer loves so much. I assumed Reid was injured after last week, somehow remembering that and not Ryan, but I'd still prefer to see Teo at 12 over Darce.

At least Gopperth can actually get his backline to do stuff and I'll ignore the rest of your ehm analysis.

Reid's apparently sick is what I'm hearing now and Reddan has a neck injury that's been 'managed'.

Reddan has had that injury a while. I remember he was home for Xmas here 2/3 years ago and I had to do a physio session with him on his neck but didn't he even miss time due to neck/shoulder in past

Aye, the backline is like a well oiled machine with Gopperth at the helm, usually the other teams backline but that's neither here nor there.

Whereas without him the amount of linebreaks we have is just redonk.

If one intercept is all it takes for you to make up your mind about something like this then the same applies to Madigan.

EDIT: In fairness of course Madigan should do fine today as we really should dominate the Ulster pack with their lacklustre backrow and Madigan's good qualities other than goal kicking will actually work when we're not on the backfoot.
