welcome back Dan carter.

Tom Taylor to start at 10 though

starting to look like a typically strong crusaders lineup. Lots of fighting talk from the pack I think they will get 5 points

Crusaders: Israel Dagg, Sean Maitland, Robbie Fruean, Ryan Crotty, Zac Guildford, Tom Taylor, Andy Ellis, Kieran Read (capt), Matt Todd, Luke Whitelock, Sam Whitelock, Luke Romano, Owen Franks, Corey Flynn, Ben Franks. Reserves: Quentin MacDonald, Wyatt Crockett, Ross Kennedy, Brendon O'Connor, Willie Heinz, Dan Carter, Tom Marshall

Cheetahs have upset the Crusaders a couple of times in the past. Time to step up and do so away from home. Crusaders are HUGE favorites though.

Good to see the crusaders lethal back three all in their rightful positions again.
Hopefully dam carter gets a bit of gametime. Not just a cameo appearance.

I don't know, I want to see Dan Carter being looked after to be honest. With his run of injuries I think he needs to be wrapped in cotton wool for his first few games back.

The Cheetahs have no chance to win, they would do well to keep the points difference under 30.

I want to see Coenie Oosthuizen run over Dan Carter!

That is all
I don't see how you can hate on Dan, a gentleman and a great servant to the game. Despite being born in the wrong country ;).
Good to see him back on the field!

Saders team starting to look like champions. I'd still back them to finish top of the NZ conference (as much as I'd love to see the highlanders pull ahead, they just don't seem to have the necessary depth).

It's not hate at all... in fact it's out of R.E.S.P.E.C.T. for the great Dan that I say this... Dan is the only guy that will stand in our way to win the inauguaral Rugby Championship...

I am with Bull on this one. One tends to be soaked up in the emotions when the Cheetahs do well for one or two games, only to realise they are not on the par of the top teams when they get hammered.
Not saying it is going to happen, but the chances are good.
then reality hits u hard bru...

Carter has been unlucky with injuries the last while. I would love to see him have a good few minutes this game. Usually Carter hasn't missed a step when coming back from injury and our future Bok 10 can only gain from the experience of going up against the undesputed top 10 in world rugby.

Fully agree here, when I told my boy who is the best players in the world are, I told him to watch Carter closely, you will not find a better role model anywhere, on and off the field.
Rugby per say needs more like him

Oosthuizen, Johnson, Van Zyl, Sias Ebersohn and Benjamin on the bench for the Cheetahs. That is a group of players who lack a bit of skill/grunt or attitude when it comes to tight exchanges and a structured game. If the Cheetahs manage to keep it close with 20 minutes remaining (a tough ask if you look at the Crusaders' record at home vs the Cheetahs travelling) these guys could make a big impact off the bench with their 'x-factor' if the game has unraveled a bit at the end or the Cheetahs look to play some rugby with ball in hand while the Crusaders could possibly be happy to just clear their lines.

The form of the Crusaders this season suggests it's going to be a close game. Considering the Cheetahs are pretty much the new Hurricanes team with their expansive play and crowd thrilling counter attacks. But like the Hurricanes they are inconsistent and I don't think they can beat the Crusaders

Good game so far, Cheetahs keep up the pace. Is Donnely injured? He's not in the 22 today

Tough Game, cheetahs are a tough team. They play a fast game and even though they lack some big names they play well as a team.

Going to uncontested Scrums also helped the Cheetahs stay in the game for longer.

Good to see Dan Back, he never seems to skip a beat and this game was exception. Brilliant Pass to put Fruen(?) away.

I thought Tom Taylor did ok as well. Not the first game I've seen him go down badly with cramp. He had some problems like that through ITM cup, maybe he needs to look at his nutrition before and during games.
