Suddenly the Warrathas seem to have a new attitude, if thye attack like they showed in the pore season games they can take it to the Reds
Looking forward to this game

I'm quite looking forward to this game too - mainly as it will be the first game I have been to at Suncorp Stadium. The battle at 7 between Gill and Hooper will be a highlight for me.

It should be a pretty close game too. I'm hoping we will see both sides attack, but I will believe it when I see it! It will be interesting to see the makeup of the Waratahs backline. Both Barnes and Foley are in doubt, meaning young Ben Volavola may start at 10. Horne is out injured, so I imagine we will see Tom Carter and Ashley-Cooper paired up in midfield. There is plenty of talent in the outside backs - Folau looks set to start at fullback, with Kingston, Turner, Mitchell, and Betham fighting out the wing spots.

The Reds looked a bit aimless at times last week, and would probably benefit in starting Frisby at halfback rather than Lucas.

This game is supposed to have this new ref-cam used, what do you guys think about it.

heres a video from Rugbydump form the Preseason using it.

Definately brings a new perspective and the audinece "closer" the the gameplay

I think the Reds are going to get stomped in this game 13+

Reds:
1. Greg Holmes,2. Saia Faingaa,3. James Slipper (c),4. Ed O'Donoghue,5. Rob Simmons,6. Eddie Quirk ,7. Liam Gill,8. Jake Schatz,9. Ben Lucas,10. Quade Cooper,11. Digby Ioane,12. Ben Tapuai (vc),13. Chris Feauai-Sautia,14. Dom Shipperley,15. Mike Harris
Replacements : 16. James Hanson,17. Albert Anae,18. Adam Wallace-Harrison,19. Jarrad Butler,20. Nick Frisby,21. Jono Lance,22. Luke Morahan

Good to see F-Sautia starting at centre. I'm slightly surprised to see O'Donoghue starting ahead of Wallace-Harrison...

Waratahs: Israel Folau, Drew Mitchell, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Tom Carter, Tom Kingston, Bernard Foley, Brendan McKibbin, Wycliff Palu, Michael Hooper, Dave Dennis, Kane Douglas, Sitaleki Timani, Sekope Kepu, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Jeremy Tilse.
Replacements: John Ulugia, Benn Robinson, Paddy Ryan, Mitchell Chapman, Lopeti Timani, Matt Lucas, Ben Volavola

Interesting to see Benn Robinson on the bench. The 5/2 split on the bench is interesting too....

Wait, that's not Ed O'Donoghue who utterly failed at 3 or 4 clubs up here is it?

Apparently so. According to the mighty Wikipedia he played for the Reds during 2007 and 2008 seasons before moving over to Ulster. I take it I shouldn't expect him to be a superstar then?

Talk about a journeyman!!! I saw that page and he's played for eight different professional clubs(though in fairness the one OZ club Ballymore went belly up) and his longest stay anywhere is two years, looks like he had a cup of coffee with the Irish "A" side a few years back as well. He's also played in five different league's the Premiership, Top 14, Celtic League, Super Rugby and the defunct Australian championship. All this at 30 years old could be a couple more stops along the way if he plays for another 2-5 years.

Waratah's handling is as bad as I've ever seen in pro rugby.
It's embarrassing.

Quade Cooper is the most annoying pro rugby player on the globe, both off and on the pitch...

Not the best game of rugby, but I'm sure the Reds will be happy with the win. Ed Quirk really impressed for the Reds, not only with his ball running, but also his massive work-rate in defense. Folau had a pretty mixed debut for the Waratahs - he scored a try and did bust a few tackles, but made a number of handling errors and looked a bit shaky on defense...

Yes I can see what that has to do with anything. Please share your insight on the game more often.

Israel Fololz was useless couldn't hold the pill to save his life. Let's hope he is never in charge of the Waratah's medical room or the pain killers will be spread all over the joint given his handling.
